That Grim ghost cover straight up sucks. Its like 90's art trying to make a comeback. Yeah. I'm not really sure what is going on with the huge legs and the bunched up pants in the crotch. The brooding look and all definitely leans towards a bad Image style of art. People are saying they like the art in Phoenix better, but it all honesty I found the art inside the Grim Ghost book less distracting. The Phoenix art inside got the job done, but it's a little generic and plain in areas. The flow of the story is interesting enough that it takes the lead over the art and the art flows pretty well inside the story pages of both comics. The cover is the least appealing part of the Grim Ghost comic. Jason Goodman will read my post at CPG where I challenge them to depict cover images where something is actually happening vs. the Sears portrait look. df1

It's great to hear that you like them because I know you don't like a whole lot to begin with and I have ordered both of these with optimistic anticipation. Hearing you say they are good makes me believe they will be. I hope they can keep it up. I also don't care too much for either cover, but I find covers like this acceptable on 1st issues. Its just something I don't want to see for the next 20. I hope they take you up on the challenge to give covers with glimpses from the inside. Been seeing a slight bit more of that in comics lately and its greatly refreshing. Still way too many generic POS covers out there, but I do appreciate when I see honest to goodness Insight Covers.
I'm rooting for Atlas to make a splash more than over comics. I also loved their original comics.

Other than the San Diego & New York conventions, I'm not really sure how these were distributed. It's completely possible that the comics won't live up to the setup. The premise however was nice start. df1
