They won't end those. They make money on crossing that shit over to posters and such. I thought we were talking about ways to save comics and giving the people what they want. Not about what comics WONT do. Yeah, but he is right. They won't do it because some accounting department looks at the stupid things that manipulate readers and tells them to keep doing it. df1

But I'm not going to cheer the big guys on who keep doing the same dumb shit as sales keep going DOWN!

If I ran a comic company, I would do everything Cyber said plus mine. I think there is a lot of people on the sidelines just wishing things were different. I don't think any of it is too hard really. Just got to get these fucks at the top thinking different than what they are. I've had a superhero/sci-fi/fantasy universe in my head for well over a decade. Now if some one wants to help me find the writers, artists, letters, colorists, editors, and the money to start it I would be more than happy to share my ideas but until then they stay in my head.

I'm talking about the recent shit that Marvel and DC have released like: House of M, Civil War, Secret Invasion, War of Kings, Shadowland, Realm of Kings, Messiah Complex, Dark Reign, The Siege, Second Coming, The Chaos War, Infinte Crisis, 52, Countdown, Final Crisis, The Blackest Night, The Brightest Day, Trinity, and the dozens of others that Marvel and DC have done and lets not forget the upcoming crossover events Fear Itself from Marvel and Flashpoint from DC. Crossovers that changes or affects the Marvel and/or the DCU for about 2 years max and then is undone and/or forgotten about. I'm sick of crossovers that only serve to set the next one and consist of mostly mini-series and one-shots. I used to love the summer crossovers that were fun and could have lasting effects on the universe that lasted for several years. Now of days if the aftermath last a year it's miracle.
OK, some movie and TV show writers they should have at least a knowledge of how to write comics and the desire to write them.
Characters like Wolverine and Deadpool are over-used to a sickening degree how many series is Wolverine in? Here is the ones I can think of: Wolverine, The Uncanny X-Men, X-Men: Legacy, The Astonishing X-Men, The Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine, X-Men, The Uncanny X-Force, The Avengers, The New Avengers and countless spin-offs, mini-series, one-shots, and specials that Marvel puts out with him in it and Deadpool is just as bad.
TPBs and HCs are sadly a necessary evil in today's comic book market it's how some titles avoid cancellation is by TPBs and HCs. My idea is to put some distance in between when the single issues are released and when the TPBs and HCs are released. This would hopefully allow retailers some time to sell off back issues and possibly make a bigger demand for TPB and HCs.
