At least according to CBR. While I'm sure that the so-called Valiant Mafia (both members) will be jumping up and down for joy. Me I'm not as excited as I would have been say 2 years ago. But so far with all the hot air Dino has blown and all he's produced is 3 fucking hardcovers with new material that adds up to about 18 pages and given all the hell and bad PR that happened between VEI, Jim Shooter, and Bob Layton. I hope you can understand why I'm very cynical about VEI. That is why I'm giving VEI 2 years MAX (and that is being extremely grateful) before it dies.

He wants to sell the company. You can tell by the wording in the article. His comics will lose money just like every other indy company. df1

I seen this news while I was at work yesterday. It just makes me roll my eyes. These dudes who were secretive fucks about their every move and wouldn't let their own fans in on nothing and now they're dropping press releases all these years later like everyone should get excited. To me Valiant has turned into a bad dream. The name Valiant alone represents a level of quality and storytelling that can't be matched with mere run of the mill comics like Dark Horse just came out with. If it doesn't come out some of the most solid comics in existence than I would also see a quick death and think 2 years is generous. Personally, I wish they would just go away and lose their asses in the process. Valiant is just a mirage these days. Even Shooter couldn't bring it back because he didn't have the proper talent and power to make it real again. I hardly expect these guys to put out a much better effort.

This is complete non-news. I cannot believe you guys are talking about this when you could be discussing the DC Comics entire line relaunch that is about to happen.

An act of desperation to get attention? I simply don't care about anything DC does. Even the Green Lantern movie looks like it's going to be crap. df1

I miss the old days when FF was at 200. Avengers was at 200. Daredevil was at 160. Spiderman was at 200. Iron Man was at 130. Batman was at 400. Superman was at 400. And on and on and on.... It was all a lot easier then. It all seemed like the publishers trusted their products to be good month in and month out. It was like they had faith in what they were doing. Relaunching and starting over is like everything is nearing the point of needing cancellation, so we just start over at #1 to get people re-interested. There is no consistency in product anymore. None of them seem to be seeing past 6 months from now. Its all about now. There is no faith in seeing beyond a single story arc. There is no building blocks for the future.

Is Greg popping woodies over this? Theoretically, he should be burnt out on Valiant comics by now. df1
