I've had this book about 22 years or so and I finally sold it. I used to try and sell it back when I was doing conventions but I never did. It just kind of stayed with me and I never minded. Other than the blunted corner in the lower left, it's in really nice shape. When she finally sold, I felt kinda sad packing it up and shipping it away. It was like sending away an old friend. This is the real 1st issue of Thor.

This is the 2nd comic book I ever purchased in my life and if you ask me, I think it's the last really good work Jack Kirby ever did. His run only lasted 9 issues, but the 1st 4 were just fun. When all was said and done and it was time for me to sell, I had about 10 of these to get rid of. I've been going through them 1 by 1. I think I have 4 or 5 left at this point.

I can't stand stuff like this. I think it's stupid. But I pick up 1st issues and mini keys as much as possible. I think there was a rumor going around that this dumb character is going to be in an upcoming movie. I don't know. Thought it was a good time to sell it. It went quickly and for way more than I paid for it. I think I paid $1 for it. This is the kind of stuff I pick up over and over and over again in dumpster dives.

Dumpster Diving is when I would make attempts to get off the beaten path. This is one of those time. Another $1 comic in great shape (I graded it NM-.....).

Hmmm! Early Hellcat appearance before she became Hellcat. These always catch my eye, but they are usually not in nice enough condition for me to consider for more than a few seconds. Cool stuff. df1 Yeah, that's always my deal. This is actually a pretty nice copy other than some light chipping around the edges, it didn't have any creases or moderate damage anywhere. I thought it was a solid copy. I go by price and eye appeal and this one had both in my eyes. I might have grabbed it. I bought a western (forget which) comic like that from a used record store. I got it home and every interior page had been written on. df1

Like Superman, I don't have a lot of interest in Batman, but I like him better than Superman. And unlike Superman, Batman's sell easily and often well. So I'm a sucker for anything of decent note. I felt this was noteworthy for being an old Joker cover and story as well as this is only the 2nd 12 cent issue. Otherwise, I think it's pretty silly book and I don't care for it. I don't own any old Batman issues. I'm just not a huge Batman fans. One sniper and he'd have been dead a long time ago. I don't care how smart he's supposed to be. df1

Not trying to be stuck on DC but I'm running into their scans quicker and can't overlook this. I did develop a liking for trying to collect older issues of Wonder Woman. Especially nice to have her non-costumed era. This cover to me is underrated. I think the guys name is Jones or something like that. He did a few iconic covers. This is one of them. I love Wonder Woman's tits on this. Not that I perv on comics because I hate it when guys perv on comic characters. But man, that's the way you're suppose to draw them right there. That's good work. I hated these as a kid, but I like them now. I've bought a few as back issues. Bruce Jones is highly regarded. His work doesn't excite me. It's okay. The tits don't really stand out for me on that cover.

This is the real 1st issue of Thor. I never made an effort to get this. I prefer the stuff based on Earth with Don Blake. I think all these title change issues are over-priced. To me it's not a 1st issue. It's a JIM#126 to me. df1

Some was corny. I think roller skates popped out of his feet at one point. I wish they'd do more with him. My friend bought every 2001 #8 he ever saw. He thought it was undervalued. df1

Crap like this is why I got out of comics in the 80's. I hate the stuff that much. I am not making plans to see the movie with him in it. No desire to own anything with him in it. His Hulk appearance is in my collection.
