Brother J says I have a good start for collecting the set... Vicki #3 Vicki #4 Picked up those to go with my Gothic Romances and My Secret magazines.. cfs I do have a complete set of Vicki, they are definitely the toughest comics to find. Now if I only had the two magazines you have, I would make much more of an effort to complete this "Dead Universe".

I really do not care for the magazines unless the rare ones just happened to fall into my lap, which is doubtful. I would really love to have a complete set of just the Atlas comics which seems very doable to me. I probably have a little over half of them now and I pick them up here and there when I see them. As mentioned previously, I have Vicki 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4. I think completing the Vicki's makes it seem like you almost have to complete it.
If your like C and not only have the Vicki's but the rare Magazines as well....then if you dont complete it, I suggest you sell me the magazines (at an extremely reasonable price) so I can go ahead and finish that collection.
Either with or without the magazines...A complete set (with or without magazines) seems like a proud side quest if completed.

It's interesting to note that Altas/Seaboard's B&W magazine, Thrilling Adveture Stories #1 is the first appearece of Tiger-Man, who later got his own series. I've been thinking about trying to get set of the full color comics and the following B&W magaiznes: Thrilling Adventure Stories #1 and #2, Weird Tales of the Macbre #1 and 2 and Devilina #1 and #2. I might look into getting Movie Monsters #1-4 for my Dad, but I don't know if he's all that interested in a Famous Monsters of Filmland rip-off.

Does your dad collect comics? Or just magazines? Its pretty hard to think someone would be interested in 30+ year old comics or magazines unless they was already well into the hobby or hobbies.
Everytime I think of Atlas I always think what a shame. It had a pretty decent start. Even if it still eventually died out, it would have been cool if this company lived longer than a maximum of 4 issues per title. I find them to be very nice when you flip through them as a group.

I piclked up a nice copy last year. Defiant1 That's hot! I like this one! One thing about it though, I don't see any giveaway on the cover that it is an Atlas. I might have even seen one of these before and didn't know it was an Atlas. Is there an easy identification on them? Or am I just not seeing the ID in the picture?

It's not obvious on any of the magazines. You have to look in the indicia. It's also why I have so much trouble remembering what I need. Defiant1

That's probably why I don't have any. I know a few places that have a few boxes of magazines, some in nice shape. I've looked through them and feel like I've seen this one before. I just never knew it was an Atlas. Now whenever I get back to them, I may be more apt to open up the front covers and see if there is some Atlas Magazines in the mist.

Hopefully you will look in the "midst" because mist is bad for paper products. ;D The Atlas checklists list non-comic publications also. I differentiate on my checklist. atlaschecklist.50webs.com/Atlas_Seaboard_Comics_Index.html
