I finally got to see this, although I seen it on the internet from a website that Underdog gave me a link to awhile back. I finally sat down and watched the whole thing earlier today.
Let me say my LCD screen on my computer really hampered the experience because my LCD only gets but so bright, which really bugs the shit out of me and its one area CRT computer monitors have the advantage. With so many night scenes and dark scenes, I literally could not tell what was going on for 1/3rd of the movie and that really sucked.
As far as the movie....I liked it. This is how I want Superhero movies to be. I hate silly comic movies. It cheapens comics. This was almost a movie you could believe with superheroes running around. The Batman was not easy to care for. I didnt like his disguised voice and he didnt always seem very heroic. But then again, it made me like him better than other Batman movies where he seemed aimed at 12 year olds.
I also didnt care much for the Two-Face portion, but it wasnt bad. I wasn't expecting it. The girl also didnt seem much to fall out over either as cfs said.
The real star of the movie for me though was easily the Joker. Man, he was cool as shit! I swear, any time he wasnt in the movie, which was a lot, I couldnt wait for the next time he was. And every time he was in the scene, I was into it. Ive never been a fan of the Joker neither in the comics or the movies, but that by far was the best. And totally made the movie for me. Without him, the movie is about a 6. With him, about an 8. It was also, my favorite DC movie. I enjoyed it. Just wished I could have seen those dark scenes better.
