I know I am still very new. But one issue I seem to have while here is a slow loading issue. I don't know if its my comp or that I use IE, or some kind of code here. But I figured I would share this with you.

He uses a lot of code and my avatar was a large image. I've reduced my avatar size if that helps.

But I figured I would share this with you. Hmmm....I've never really had that said before. My site is made up of a bunch of images, so that may be the issue if you have a slow internet connection. Are you on dial up? I'm not sure, but I may have a default template available. If I don't, I will be glad to put a default template up if it will help your situation. Just let me know!

I just checked because I couldn't remember. I have 3 skins (templates) to choose from....
Default ... is this one
Alternate .... is a lot like this one but a lot of the images are turned off. Not all of them. It still looks a lot like this board, but it's toned down a little
Subsilver .... I have no idea where this one came from, but this is basically a blank template with a default proboard scheme. I think the color pallet is god awful (strong white background with blue and black lettering), but it should load very quickly.
I would say try the alternate skin first. If that doesn't solve it, try subsilver. If you don't like subsilver, I'll work on making a better color scheme. Just let me know.
The way you change templates is to:
Click on your own name, this will bring up your profile page
Click on "Modify Profile" at the top
Scroll down to "Select skin" its about 2/3rds of the way down. Click on the drop down and make the selection you want.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

You loaded it for me, but the text boxes are still a strain for me. I can live with the hybrid your scripts are creating. I still lose buttons and have to go to the main screen to log in. Funky setup you have. Wouldn't like a gothic theme even if it wasn't an eye strain. df1

No wonder you didn't say anything when I made some changes to the default skin back around September. You've probably never seen it.
I think it toned down the gothic look some and gave it more of a comic vibe. I'm still not completely happy with the skin, but I haven't had time to change it. I like it a lot better than when I had the original "Comic Crack" skin from back in March. But other than changing the side panels and the logo a little, not much else changed. I do think I am so far most happy with the current default skin, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to one day make it better.
As for the subsilver skin, What can I do to make it better for you here? I would be willing to make desired changes for you if I can make it happen and as long as it doesn't affect my current default skin. Any recommendations on the subsilver than I can make happen, just let me know and I'll try it.

I think you created a second one for me and I couldn't use it either. The killer for me is gray text on black. If it was white that'd be fine I wouldn't have to get right up on the screen. The other is that your scripts were doing something with the buttons so I had no reply button. Hard to respond with no reply button. For me, the scripts used to set layout are overkill. I like scripts to do things like my slide in menu or play a video. When they just move a button, that's more than I want.

Nah, I don't have dial up. I've got DSL. Might just be speed and too much coding issues. But no worries I can deal. I do like the gothic lookin' skin you've got here.

Ive adjusted the text from gray tones to white (FFFFFF). I also did the borders for all tables and text boxes to white. I can clearly see that it affected the borders, but the text just doesn't seem very much different to me. It doesn't seem as vivid as pure white should be. It doesn't seem much different to me as white text as it did as gray text. I dunno. Maybe you can see a difference. I'm hoping so. As for the scripts, I'm not sure what you're referring to. I have scripts for your checklist menus, the jukebox at the bottom, the news feed and the map at the bottom. I have forever had a reply button in every skin I've ever used. I know you've said before you weren't able to see it. I thought one time you mentioned you had turned off something from your browser. Also the buttons appear to have "states" involved with it. Well, all except the "Website" button which was added after the skin. All other buttons seem to have an "Over" state where the button brightens up when a pointer hovers on top of it. I think I seen on the silver skin that a button was causing problems. I'll look into it. I think when the "Website" button was added by my request from Underdog a long time ago, it may have affected the silver skin. But I think it should only be that one button. If it is affecting others, I'd have to dig deeper. I'm not sure why. At least now I have enough knowledge to at least have ideas about things where as before I had none. Most people haven't said anything about the skins and from my end, it runs fine. I know you've had this reply problem for awhile, but I kind of thought we resolved it awhile back. I know I loaded a skin for you to make it easier for you to use here. And I was hoping that resolved if not all, most of your issues. I'm not trying to run a bothersome board here. It's hard to please everybody with appearance issues, but I'm doing my best to appease those who have gripes with it, including you. I'm just wondering how much I can do to resolve it verses is there something else going on that I don't know about or see because I don't see what you're seeing. It's hard for me to correct the issues you're having because I don't see the same things.
