Figured when learned, we could start a thread on cancellations of note whenever possible. I'll get started.
Reading Blue Beetle will end with issue #36.

Do they have some kind of project planned for him afterwords or just canceling with no further plans for the character?

they got some plans in the works for all the bat-universe titles. oracle is getting a solo series I believe. I think there will be a Robin and Batman book. Then a Red Robin series.

I will miss Blue Beetle, but I think the title was pretty much done in some ways - there were no recurring villains of note and that was a problem in my mind.
Also going is Amazing Spider-Girl - don't laugh, I do enjoy it. It is (for me) an enjoyable all-ages book that builds on solid story-telling. I will miss it.

Good to see you Leon!
I picked up an Amazing Spidergirl #1 on a dumpster dive not long ago. Not realizing that it came out in 1998 and was kind of taken back by that. Are we talking the same title? If so, this would be by far the most successful female Spiderman related title ever in terms of longetivity of a title.

If so, this would be by far the most successful female Spiderman related title ever in terms of longetivity of a title. The book that came out in 1998 was entitled "Spider-Girl". It lasted 100 issues, which is pretty remarkable. It was then cancelled, but brought back (in a matter of months, I believe)because of the support of the fans. The current title was started in 2006 and is "The Amazing Spider-Girl". I haven't read it, but as far as I know, it's the same character and concept and I assume it was restarted at #1 just to attract fans who feel they need to start reading a title with a #1 issue.

My bad....I wasnt 100% sure I was referring to the same book. I was never a collector of the series, thats why I threw in "Are we talking about the same book?" because I wasnt confident it is the same title. Thanks for the clarification!
