Naturally for me,everytime I get into something I know nothing about I get spanked. I was doing good day trading but then tried options and got smoked. Since then the market has just been shitty. All the "for sure" stocks have gotten their asses kicked. Half the guys say this is the bottom, the other half say the Dow is going to 7000,and a few out there are saying even as low as 5000. When I hear people that have been doing this for years say, that they have never seen anything like this, makes me scared. It will get better, but who the hell knows when. What I do know is that business sucks for everybody right now.I don't know if the election is going to help, but I sure hope so.No matter who gets elected.

I just don't see any bail out working. Companies who fucked up should have to deal with their mistakes. This goes for airlines, lending firms, and who ever else. Companies get greedy and they are hurting from it. Why should tax payers have to help them? They don't give us any breaks.

I agree,if I owed a couple hundred thousand for my business fuck ups, would they help me out?? Nope, there goes my house,my cars,my everything. AIG screwed all kinds of people, the higher ups got millions in bonuses, and now they are getting millions of dollars from the government bail out,and they are out partying like nothing ever happened. In the city streets people are getting killed over $20 and these bastards are raping the country and face no consequences. It's fucked up.

Lower gas prices should help. I took a peek at my 401K online and saw it was down 30%.

Its really been a rough stretch lately. The market outlook changed again after Thursday marked 2 consecutive distribution days in a row with the 2nd being major, IBD changed the outlook back to: Market in correction:For a week there, it did look good, but we cannot seem to shake off this extremely bad funk. If we ever get a confirmation rally followed by some really good days, I think we would be onto something. As it is, everytime there is a bit of an upswing, it gets met with further resistance.

Yeah, I was reading about that too. The last few months have been extremely ugly and overall this whole year has just sucked.

Since I lost my big money over the last few months...I have been looking at cheaper stocks to mess with...lately I've made about $3000 on this one...TMA....last year it was $250 a share.Right now it's $1.80 share. This thing has swings all the time and can go up & down $1-$2 in a day or so. I've been playing it safe for the last 3 weeks. It doesn't cost much, and you can make 50-100% quick if you time it right. I got it this morning on the drop..I got 1000 shares at $1.40...(3 days ago it $2.75, a few days before that it was $1.10)...I wish I could sell now, because I'd take my $400 and run. But I screwed myself with my day trading abilities, when I took out some money about a month ago to buy a car, that put me below the required amount you need in the account to day trade. But with what I'm allowed to do,this has worked out OK for the last few weeks.
