Well, as crazy as my life has been over the last year or so, it just got a little crazier. I've been sitting on this news since July 31st. I found out that day and it was more than a little unsettling considering where I was in life. Well, life waits for no one and it certainly doesn't wait for me and on Monday April 8th at 2:49pm, at the age of 46, I was given birth to my first child. It's amazing and it is certainly something I didn't want to happen under my circumstances, but it couldn't be undone. As far as how did it make me feel. Well......it's hard to pinpoint. I think she's adorable. Words can't do it justice. She is WAY smaller than the pictures would ever make you notice. She came in at 6lbs and 9ozs and 20 inches long. It's like holding a burrito with a head on it. It's amazing and life changing. I just wish I was in a better place in life. This is NOT what I wanted to happen but now that she is here, I feel very blessed and I'm ready to try and be a better person and do whatever I can to make her life better. Some burdens in life become blessings. Just do your best. df1

Just for the record, my posts will probably not be as often and certainly not as long and maybe my spelling errors will be more frequent because I currently do not have any internet and only have my phone to post messages and surf the web. Excuse my downturn and any help continuing conversation here is appreciated.

Every time I look, it looks like it has a lot to do with starseed gushing himself into a frenzy over there. He does seed discussion. He's ambitious. df1 I'm noticing that most responses to his posts are you yourself. We have seen his schtick before. I will however concede this.... One thing I DO think he is doing and is happening is he's creating posting momentum and you are getting OTHERS to post on their own subjects that interest them. This is something I always believe in when watching message boards. I believe posting creates more posting. The problem over here, it is just me and you. And it's not enough. But you have a lot more stragglers that appear off and on over at your site than I have over here. So when it comes down to just me and you or you and brotherj, we create some content and have a few back and forths, but it looks like the same ole same ole. Things pick up when your other contributors get going, like Vikingspawn and some of your other semi-regulars to regulars. Now along comes Starseed and he's posting lately at least twice as much as the other guys, you respond and a few people add a post here and there. From the outside, it looks like more is going on than usual and now there is some momentum. Suddenly a few of your other semi consistent peers comes by and they're seeing more than usual activity and then they have a lot to pick and choose from and something attracts their interest and they post and suddenly you're seeing an upturn in postings. And yes, lately you have been getting more posts going on and I think you can think Starseed for helping with the momentum. Because typically you're the main one responding to him, but it's looking like a lot more is going on and others are posting too. I've always believed in momentum. Anytime I post a lot in a month, I get you to post more and occasionally I get that one lone straggler who posts. The thing I need is 2 to 3 more straggling semi-regular posters. If I had that, this place would have moments of momentum. But when it is just me and you, it doesn't kick up much dust. My last DECENT year was 2010, and back then we had me and you, BigW, Azbatx, Cyber, Underdog and occasionally a couple of others, like whet and Ace. Anytime 3 or more people got going on here and especially on subjects, it appeared to create more posts when others stopped by. But as we know, one by one, they all stopped coming much and with each one coming less, the posting got less and the place fizzled to what its been for a long time now. Mainly me and you with occasional posts over long distances of time from others. I'd give anything just to have 2 or 3 more semi-regulars because I think the momentum would start rolling and things would be a lot more active over here than it has been for the past 2-3 years. I think anytime you have anyone Fresh posting, it creates momentum and others tend to join in. I don't know if it is a competition kind of feeling that comes over people or what. But something changes in the psych of people when they see new people posting or old people posting more than they have in a long time. It just breeds more posters if you ask me. I have believed in momentum for a long time and I certainly think a side benefit of Starseed posting a lot is it is rubbing off on others to post more. That is the seed I think he is dropping. Momentum.

I have believed in momentum for a long time and I certainly think a side benefit of Starseed posting a lot is it is rubbing off on others to post more. That is the seed I think he is dropping. Momentum. Exactly. I can start posts and I can reply to posts. If I start a post there is a 50% chance that it'll interest someone. If someone else starts a post, there's about an 85% chance I'll reply. If they ask a specific question, the odds increase to about 95%. If no one is posting anything, there is no reason for stragglers to even visit and look. While 2-3 stragglers posting can provide a reason to come back, it's not enough. If someone goes on vacation or is stuck at work too much you get a gap in posting and all the momentum gains are lost. You need about 10-20 stragglers visiting so that if one is busy or has nothing to say, there are two or three others that can step up and fill the void. df1

Just a heads up. I no longer have internet of any type any more so I may not be seen much if at all for the foreseeable future.
Take care friends.

I have been able to restore my phone which gives me the ability to use the internet through the phone, so I have regained some ability to check in and use the site for the time being.
