First i'll say its going to be one of the best action movie of 2008 . Robert Downey Jr is great in this movie i think its the best movie i've see him in . There is never a dull moment, it doesn't snag on any big flaws, and delivers the way a solid comic book action movie definitely should. I do think it ranks up there in the top 10 comic book movie adaptations.
Did anyone see it yet or is planing on seeing it ?

I give it a "B". 8 out of 10. The trailer was the worst portions. I thought having a hole in his chest was stupid. I don't like seeing Gwyneth Paltrow but overall everything made up for that.

Other than the hole in his chest , and to be honest i wasn't big on the Iron Man comics . But i do think they did an great job in making the movie work.
Also they have sign on to do two more , in which the 2nd one should be set to be out in May 2010 .

Since I got Netflix now, I rented this and finally seen it and I thought it was a good movie for a comic book movie. A lot of comic movies end up pissing me off, but this one I found a lot better than most. I thought Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect Tony Stark. I'm not too uncomfortable with the whole in the chest, because the suit was used initially to keep him alive in the comics, but having it be a hole instead of a different heart problem must of been there way of dealing with the issue. I may not like the way they did it, I'm just glad they did keep with the fact that his suit was a way to keep him alive. Although in the movie, it was the hole plug in that kept him alive and not the suit. The suit just became an extension of the plug in. I love the progression of Iron Man suits and the old vs. New Iron Man seemed like watching an old comic. Overall I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars!

I liked Hancock better. df1

The hole made sense. In the comic he always had to wear the top half of the armor. Preposterous I say. The suit is big and heavy and couldn't be hidden. The hole wasa small insert for an electormagnet. Which BTW was used to keep metal shrapnel away from his damaged heart. Just like the comics. It also gave him a physical weakness and gave motivation to the villain. Free unlimited energy could be worth killing your genius partner over.
Easily one of the best hero flicks ever. 4.5/5
