Now you need to check out the new one. I think its on netflix instant. I would like to see the new one. I'm actually surprised how much I enjoyed the older one. I won't say it was perfect because it in no means was. I really didn't like the Absorbing Man being Bruce's father and all those scenes relating to him and I hate that I feel that way because I really fucking dig the Absorbing Man ever since I 1st saw him back in the 70's. I always thought he was kick ass. But to me, his part of the movie was the weakest link. The Hulk solo scenes and story is where the original movie ruled. So, yes I would be hyped to see the newer one. Unfortunately I no longer have Netflix. I loved Netflix but I got my use out of them and had begun not using them enough to make them worth the money. I'm much happier with Direct TV. I'll keep my eyes open for the newer Hulk on there. The problem with the Hulk movie is that they hired an indy screenwriter to come in and write a backstory for the character and it's crap. It's the worst acting I've ever seen from Nick Nolte. You missed the worst part of the movie by coming in late. The scenes with Huk in the desert are awesome. The dialogue and drama sucked. Had they disassociated the Absorbing man from the shitty backstory, it would have made more sense. The action scenes were good. I liked the second movie better, but the Hulk wasn't utilized enough against worthy villains. It was more like the TV show. Finally saw Hulk in the Avengers trailer. df1

The back story with Bqnner's dad, is nothing new. It was first conceived by Barry Windsor Smith, and has been explored a number of times in the comic. I am talking the Abuse part not the absorbing man part.
In the second one, I thought that it built up to a worthy challenge with Abomination in the second half.
speaking of tv shows, the Hulk show which is about to start production, will apparently make use of the tech used in Avengers and cast an actor that looks like a younger Mark Ruffalo.

The part about his dad just dragged out and it is in no way central to the plot of an action movie. It should have been shrunk immensely. The choice of Betty in the 1st movie was horrible. I can't stand looking at her. You are correct that the second movie had adequate build-up to the abomination. The problem is that the fight itself was rather anti-climactic. Much in the same way (but much better), Thor's battle with the Destroyer was over so fast it never seemed like a real challenge. df1

I would have liked to see the Destroyer battle last longer for sure. As for the Daddy issues in the Ang Lee Hulk, I think they were central to the character as presented. It was his ownupbringing that determined the direction he went. His bottled up anger that was never resolved as the reason for his uncontrollable id. In asian films, they tend to go more for emotional context in storytelling than just action beats. That is why the first Hulk focused so much on it.
Regarding Jennifer Connelly, You will not speak ill of the sexy Jennifer could eat crackers in bed Connelly. How dare you destroy my fantasies.

Regarding Jennifer Connelly, You will not speak ill of the sexy Jennifer could eat crackers in bed Connelly. How dare you destroy my fantasies. Please take her. Please. Lock her away in your bedroom with Saltines or whatever. Anything so I don't have to look at her. I came to a realization that things like this prove there is a God. You can have what you want in bliss and I can be equally happy with someone entirely different. df1

You cannot tell me she didn't look great in The Rocketeer. Or in Labrynth or A Beautiful Mind. She did look a bit skinny in the hulk, but damn. I have a semi nude o her as the screensaver on my ZUNE. my friends will go to the screensaver just to check it out.

To give you an idea....I think Drew Barrymore is more attractive than her. I wouldn't even want to see Connelly nude. If it wasn't for the fact I know others think she's hot, I'd think you were just joking. The masculine eyebrows are enough to make me cringe. I don't even like watching her act. The whole personality and body is a turn off to me. Her name on a movie makes me not even want to see it. df1
