I made an impulse buy of Marvel's Strange Tales II #3 (comedy) because it had an Ivan Brunetti cover. I don't think I've ever gotten buyer's remorse as the money was still in my hands. When the price was quoted, I continued the transaction and said "No wonder I don't buy more modern comics." When I got the comic home, the cover was the only Brunetti piece offered in the package. The stories inside were pretty horrible. They weren't in the least bit funny. The only interesting piece was a Harvey Pekar meets the Thing since it was written by Harvey and he's dead. I guess a couple others were bizarre enough that they made a temporary impression. Nothing about it was worth $4.99 + tax. I kinda jumped because I don't see Brunetti's work available very often and a lot of his later stuff has been mostly reprint material. A huge disappointment that will make me 10x more cautious before I make another impulse purchase of anything.

I had no idea what you were talking about when I seen the title, so I had to google it. It does look like a rather quirky cover and from that standpoint, I probably would have wanted it, but I could see myself wanting other titles ahead of it, especially considering this was $5. I seen some preview pages of it from what I looked up and it looked like a fun little comic, but I'd probably want it more because most people wouldn't pick it up than anything else. I like when I hear you picked some new stuff up, but I'd be a bit more enthusiastic to hear this about you if I knew it had a better chance to keep you in the game.
Take it from someone who feels a lot like you do when I buy new books.....Most of it is so-so and aint bad and a lot of crap still exists as always if not more, but there is some out there that make you glad you're a comic fan in the first place and that's what keeps me going. If they all sucked, I'd just stick to collecting.

I liked the Rafal Grampa cover from the first one.
