You know, I have a hard time finding a track that I care less about than New Hampshire. I mean it. I have never cared for it. Although I did come close to seeing my boy win their once. It hasnt been the most exciting track. And, I think it hosted the most boring race I ever saw.
In 2000, after 2 drivers died there 6 weeks apart....the next race they put a restrictor plate on the cars resulting in no one having enough horsepower to pass. What happened was a race where Jeff Burton led EVERY LAP!!! Im serious! Look it up! He led every lap! Talk about the most boring race I ever saw.
Okay, so this race wasnt THAT bad, it wasnt exciting either. Here it is over a week later and I can hardly remember it. Oh, I remember...Bowyer won without much drama.
Ive been hearing talk of changing the 1st race of the chase, which this is and doesnt deserve it...to something a lot more exciting...like Bristol or even Talladega!!! (my favorite track!) I say, yes...take NH out...drop it down to one non-chase race a year and I would call it a great Nascar move. No way it deserves what it has. One of the worst races I seen this year.

Dover
Dover is about the exact opposite. Ive seen a snoozer once or twice there, but generally something cool happens. This time, I seen a good race with plenty of Chase drama. Something like 9 out the 12 Chase drivers had some kind of problem.
Carl Edwards hung on to win a crash filled race that had at one time as few as 5 drivers on the lead lap. Plenty of crashes and blown motors made for high drama highlighted by Kyle Petty trying to smackdown Hamlin after Hamlin wrecked him.
Yes sir, races like this have been rather rare lately. I rather enjoyed Dover. But what Im really looking forward to is Talladega in 2 more weeks!
