Let me start by saying that Talladega has been my favorite track for years. I love restrictor plate racing. Side by side cars, running in packs, waiting for the big one, nail-biting drama. This was no exception. The car of tomorrow made for many unknowns. Many of the non-top 35 teams started up front. How would they do? Was this a wild-card for the chase contenders? It all made for a great race. Blown motors by the DEI-RCR bunch. Single car crashes and yes, even the big one. Led to a last lap pass for the win by Jeff Gordon who had been hanging at the rear all race. Wasnt too happy with who one. And some follow the leader action to log laps at the middle of the race wasnt very exciting. But the beginning and just past half way to the end was some of the best racing Ive seen all season. Every week needs to be like this one. 5 out of 5 stars!
