The most I have spent on a single comic is $900 for a super high grade Hulk 181 I mean it is frikkin sweet. Very glossy, flat, crisp. It would grad at a 9.4 at the worst. He wanted $1100 for it but I got him down $200. The time I almost bought the Amazing Fantasy, I instead bought an FF#48, ASM first Molton man with a nice black cover, a few other spideys aVengers 10-17 and a bunch of Marvel team ups

I could never bring myself to pay more than $80 for a better condition one. I do have a nicer copy, but I didn't pay anywhere near that much. df1

My Hulk #1 is perhaps the nicest "Fair" codition comic I could ever own... My Amazing Fantasy #15 is rougher looking. My X-Men #1's grade higher... Strange Tales #110 Tales To Astonish #1 #27 #44 Fantastic Four #1 Avengers#1 Lot of money there, but I have no desire to part with the desireable stuff. I want to sell my crap... df1

Lots of really nice books there D. The sad part for me is I don't have a single one of those books. And really I've got tons of everything else including most all the major keys. I just don't have the #1's and major 1st appearances like you have. Sure wish I could have afforded it at other times in my life but sadly, I couldn't. Regardless, those are some nice books dude.

The irony is that I was virtually unemployed the year before I got the AF#15. I think my IRS statement said I made about $5,000-$6,000. I had to pay self employment taxes on those earnings. If not for trades, I'd never have owned it. df1
