Totally ripped off from CBR but hey, they want people to use it right??? Just put in your zip code and you'll find the nearest comic shops to that zip! Give it a try! www.comicbookresources.com/?page=csl

Here are all the stores in a 50 mile radius of my old zip code. I never put personal info online...
The Dragon's Horde - Never been there, but my friend says they mainly sell new comics. Not that I have a problem with a different race, but the store is in a predominantly black area that doesn't have a lot of money. I just don't imagine anyone will walk in with any key books that interest me.
Criminal Records - This store mainly sells new comics. I've never seen any interesting books bronze or back. They usually have an interesting mix of self-published hand collated stuff. While rare, it's more interesting to just look at it than actually buy the stuff. They are reportedly losing money and on the verge of closing. Most of their money came from CD sales and it has dried up.
Oxford Comics And Games -New comics mainly. I've never seen any interesting books bronze or back and what they have would not fill a short box. This is an excellent source for TPB's. I do shop there occasionally just to look around. I've bought mainly TPB's there.... about 90% of my purchases there were TPB's.
Xavian Games And Books - The address looks like the location where Teahouse comics was located. Maybe they changed their name because people asked for tea? Not sure. Teahouse was owned by the former manager of a Titan's store. If the owner is the same, they have new comics and maybe 5 long boxes of worthless 80's and up back issues. Nothing interesting. I did buy a convention artist's sketch book there. Hmm! I guess they do have some case books that i forgot about. i looked through them and NOTHING interested me.
Odins Cosmic Bookshelf - This is fairly close to me. It is the most well rounded of all the stores near me, but the owners got a divorce and it's run by the wife now. This is where I mainly shop because it's the closest to me. They've had some books from the 50's to present, but I've picked out everything I want. They always overprice their books by about 50%. No deals to be found unless I just happen to get lucky and they don't know something is rare.
Titan Games And Comics (Smyrna) - Titans used to be pretty cool, but they pulled all their case books and expensive backstock. They mainly sell new comics. They used to have a warehouse of stuff dating back to the 70's, but the cool stuff (silver age etc.) is now only sold at conventions and is in the possession of the owner who doesn't have anything to do with the stores much anymore. He was in the process of selling the store to the individual managers, but they can't afford them. Formerly a 6 store chain, it's down to 2 stores now. They wide range of cool stuff in the warehouse was sold of in long box sales on eBay. No reason to shop there anymore.
Galactic Quest (Location 1) - Owned by a Star Wars geek. He owns two stores and they are the most annoying shop to visit. While he has been aggressive at promoting his stores, he never has interesting backstock. Anything good was sold off years ago. No great prices, just new books and a lot of crap. Let me repeat... lot of crap. I was turned off when he tried to tell me things about comics that I already know and just stayed in my face. He painted his car with a Spiderman theme when the first movie came out. When Star Wars started coming out with new movies, he did some promotion related to that also. Both stores suck. Okay for new comics.
Titan Games And Comics (Duluth)- Same as above except I know the manager. His wife divorced him and left the company to start teahouse comics. Cut and paste from above... Titans used to be pretty cool, but they pulled all their case books and expensive backstock. They mainly sell new comics. They used to have a warehouse of stuff dating back to the 70's, but the cool stuff (silver age etc.) is now only sold at conventions and is in the possession of the owner who doesn't have anything to do with the stores much anymore. They wide range of cool stuff in the warehouse was sold of in long box sales on eBay. No reason to shop there anymore.
Comic Universe 2 - I don't think this store is open anymore. Odin's bought a store from a guy that had mainly new comics stock. It had the second best selection of TPB's in the city. This location was called Odins when I was last there and they mixed their inventory for awile, but this store was always shortchanged on the better stuff. Mainly new comics and toys if it's the same stock. I may drive by this month to see if it's still there.
Great Escape Comics & Games Mega-store - This is a nice clean store, but they don't have anything I want. It's fairly well rounded. A few scattered uninteresting Silver age books. A fair selection of bronze that doesn't interest me. It's on the other side of town, so it's a store I might visit every 5 years or so.
Mondo Atomica- Never heard of it, but it's on the other side of town. A long drive.
Dr. No's Comics & Games Superstore - This is owned by the guy that published Comic Shop News. It used to have a huge selection of back isssues and you would get SCREWED on price. Nothing was priced. It had been around forever, but they don't have any cool backstock now and nothing bronze or back. A wide selection of TPB's. I found some rare ones there for a moderately decent price. It's a long drive for me. I might make the trip every 10 years.
Book End - Never heard of it. It's a very long way away from me.
Titan Games And Comics (Riverdale) - Closed
Yojo's Comics - I looked for this store with my GPS and never found it. I think it's closed. The shopping mall was almost empty.
Galactic Quest (Location 2) - Cut and paste from above... Owned by a Star Wars geek. He owns two stores and they are the most annoying shop to visit. While he has been aggressive at promoting his stores, he never has interesting backstock. Anything good was sold off years ago. No great prices, just new books and a lot of crap. Okay for new comics.
A World Of Heroes - Never heard of it. It's a very long way away from me.
Bunjee's Comics (McDonough)- Very far from me. Bronze up, but nothing interesting. I've been there once.
Daves Comics & Collectibles - This shop is a mess, but it has the widest variety in Atlanta. Dave used to be the Diamond warehouse manager in Atlanta. It's a long drive for me, but I used to always walk out with SOMETHING. This is where I'd shop if it was close. Gold is rare here, but he might occasionally have something. He usually had something interesting as far as Silver goes. Always something interesting as far a bronze goes. Obscure indy's are scattered there if you can fuind them. A lot of my Neal Adams rarities that I bought the past few years came from there. It's about 75% of the way to Bunjees, but if I go that far, I usually see no need to go further. I know Dave, he always cuts me a deal. Sometimes I just hang out and chat if I don't buy anything. We always have old stories to tell each other. He knew all the store owners that i hung out with in the 90's that are no longer in the business.
Bunjee'scomics (Griffin) - Very far from me. Bronze up, but nothing interesting. I've been there once.
Quest Comic Shop - Never heard of it. It's a very long way away from me.
Not listed are two Book Nook stores. Both have interesting stuff, but only one supports new comics and their selection isn't huge. I've bought everything that interested me. I bought a 2nd X-Men #94 from them but it was low grade.
Reviews are always a big thing here. i just knocked out a bunch. Atlanta sucks for old comics. It has a large population and one of the busiest airports in the world, so a lot of people have passed through and bought up anything cool. When Titan's pulled their Silver age, they were the last store where you could find an FF#1 or AF#15. I bought 2 Strange tales #110's from them before they pulled their case books from the store.

Wow! Thanks for all the Comic Store Reviews DF1! I'd gladly slice all your quotes up and give them their own threads (just in case someone local to your area dropped by and seen this section) if I could just bother you to add city location names. It would be my pleasure to do it. I appreciate what you've done!
