The new Ghost Rider movie looks kinda hot. But it looks like its more eye candy than anything. I'm getting a little put off on Hollywood's reliance on CGI graphics. Movies are starting to become little more than just extensions of video games.

I think to safely, realistically, and accurately portray characters as they appear in the comics characters like Ghost Rider actually NEEDS CGI because of the fire without burning or killing the actor and/or stuntman playing the character.
Now for "down-to-Earth" characters like The Punisher, Daredevil, Batman, Catwoman, and etc CGI needs to be more limited.

I agree with Cyberstrike also. You just cannot realistically acheive some characters using practical effects. The film does look like it will be a vast improvement over the last one.
I also think Chronicle looks great.

I also think Chronicle looks great. Wow! bigw shows up for 2012! No I get it, it works for Ghost Rider. I'm not saying it doesn't. I even said I thought it looked pretty hot. I'm just saying in some cases it looks like we're getting carried away with CGI. Its not even Super Hero movies. Its any movie where there is a bit of action or drama and something amazing happens. When it looks real, sweet. But sometimes it doesn't. All for Ghost Rider though.

Saw a behind the scenes clip of Ghost rider being filmed. There were some insane stunts done by the director to get the shots. With Ghost Rider, I don't need a plot. Just seeing a guy with a flaming skull for 2 hours is cool.
