Here's a modern book I put up just on a whim and if it sold for 99 cents, I would have been happy, so I put it up and to my shock and laughter, it ends up selling for $11.50 + shipping. So some sheep wound up paying $16 to get a copy of this book. Ths only Walking Dead comic I ever purchased. And it's such a piece of crap. Basically it's all scribbles with a dead house in a house with his dad being passed out on the floor and there are zombies outside and I think the boy has a shotgun and the whole issues the kid is debating with himself on whether he should go for it with his shotgun or sit tight in case they break in. Thats all he does the whole issue and debates with himself on whether should leave or not. Every time he just about opens the door, he talks himself out of it. The whole issue. At the very end, he opens the door. issue over. the end. what a piece of shit. Im happy as hell someone paid me $16 to own this. I thought the winner was an idiot, but hey! He paid. That does sound like shit. After the hype dies down, I think people will look back and realize that. They'll think "WTF was I thinking!" Of course, I know what they are thinking. They are thinking every issue will increase in value forever. They like the idea of the books holding value more than they like the series. df1 This 1 issue was so bad to me, I never had the desire to buy another one ever again. It was a hack job. Black and white. Scribbly lazy art. And just 1 drawn out scene of should I open the door or should I stay here with dad and hope he wakes up with this rifle in my hands? From that moment at the beginning of the book to opening the doorknob at the end. I felt fleeced. I'll bet the 100+ issues is basically about equivalent to about 7 or 8 decent comic books I grew up with. Basically it takes 8-12 issues for it to be equivalent to a decent comic back in the day. It's just long drawn out idiotic scenes. Luckily I preordered this off of DCBS for probably $2 and never had the desire to order another one. I think I was enticed to buy it because it was the 50th issue which really wasn't celebrated at all. From that point on, I felt this series was completely over rated. And this is after I read the 1st issue. This title never appealed to me and I still don't understand the hype machine on this one. But if someone wants to pay $16 for my copy that I paid $2 for, I will consider it a sweet flip and move on.

Everything you just described is exactly why people love the book and the show. Character growth. The characters go through great struggles. Especially Carl, who is only 10 years old in the comic. The book deals with some heavy themes. That is why I suggest reading a the first two TPB's it will give you a better understanding of the characters.. Their motivations are much much deeper than ANY superhero book has ever shown. Including Watchmen.
I keep trying to tell you that this is not a book about Zombies.

Also, I have some books on ebay. I finally got around to listing some. I was going to give it a shot doing this with "G", but I tried to reach him a few times like a month ago, text and voicemail, and never heard back from him. The wife and I were going to do a day trip to NC. We ended up going down to Nags Head and having lunch and running around.
But, I have 11 auctions going right now and another 30 getting ready to start. buy my comics on ebay I am: myairworx

But, I have 11 auctions going right now and another 30 getting ready to start. buy my comics on ebay I am: myairworx Looking back on my phone, we spoke on June 7 when you texted that you and your wife were making a NC road trip within the next month and may stop by. I was all for it but never heard from you again. In early October my phone was cut off because I have been unable to continue paying the bill and decided to just let it go. If you tried contacting me in the last month it may have let you send a text or leave a voicemail but I wasn't able to see or hear it. I sold roughly 1,000 comics this year and I may sell some more to have some money here and there in the future but the bulk of my selling is over. Ive ramped up my search for a real job but its kind of hard because I no longer have internet access or a working phone. My girlfriend has limited access and my phone gets use for the internet when she allows me access by making her phone a mobile hot spot. On average I get about 1 hour a day to use the internet on my phone. Please excuse any typos as I do things this way. Posting messages on my phone is a bitch and time consuming and correcting mistakes is too tedious so please forgive me. The bank has moved to foreclose on my home and with little to no money ever to spend for myself ever I finally gave up the fight about a week and started moving into my girlfriend's home in South Mills but that is being met with family resistance because she rents from her uncle who is letting it be known he's not cool with us living together without being married even though we have a child together. So hard to say how this is going to turn out. Me and my gf have talked about marriage but I don't want to do it like its a shotgun wedding and while I'm doing so poorly these days in life. It would feel so much better to get married while having a job and doing semi well but who knows. Anyway I now have an 8 month old daughter and all I want is a job. Ill take minimum wage, seasonal or even part time but so far no responses to any job I have applied for. Hard to believe 5 years ago I was making 50k a year and now I can't get a minimum wage job but that is where I am today. Needless to say I am better off than I was a year ago at this time and I am thankful for everything I do have. I honestly believe once I get back on track ill never make the kind of mistakes I made to get me in this position ever again. Sometimes you need stuff like this to realize how good you once had it. Sorry to air my dirty laundry publicly but my resources to respond are limited at best and I don't want you to go around thinking I ignored your messages. Truth is I never seen or heard them. Would still like to see you one day and give your books back but its unlikely I can afford the gas to come see you.

Yeah dude. It was early October. I was worried that something may have happened to you. That was what got me to come on here. I checked facebook, but you had dropped me from your friends list. (Dick!) I had put together the stuff I currently have listed and was going to give it a shot with you. I almost listed my Preacher collection last week for $60 Buy It now. Soooo glad that I did not do that, as AMC, announced that they were going to make a Preacher Pilot for a new series. Now the first issue is selling for $385 and the whole series is selling nearly $600 I have every single book in flawless condition. The first four issues are signed by Ennis and Dillon also. I am going to sell all of them for about $500 or so. I am on the verge of quitting my job, for a couple of reasons. That is why I am selling books. To give myself a buffer in case I do not find one. But I have already been offered about 7 jobs, just because of the Chamber of Commerce, so I may whether this alright. Sorry to hear about your house. I know you didn't want to give it up, But, as I told you before, It is probably the best thing you can do. It will allow you to think about where you want to put yourself and where you can look for work. so hopefully it iwll work out for you. Keep in touch when you can, and yes, I would eventually like to get my Absolute New Frontier back from you. Did you enjoy it?

why would you think anyone thought you were a thief? It was never implied. I was just curious if you ever had a chance to read it and what you thought of the story. You should read it.
as for my address, 3716 Clipper Bay drive Virginia Beach, Va. 23455
regarding facebook, I know you removed me because you do not like my post topics. However, they are making a change to facebook that will allow you to block posts without unfriending people. Something to keep in mind.

I set something on facebook years ago and I blocked myself from seeing people's posts. I added someone after they changed some things. After I did I saw that person's posts. Now I log in and it's blank like I want. I even use a script with Firefox's Greasemonkey plugin and it blocks the annoying ads on he right of the screen. df1

As for Facebook, I had you on acquaintance level for a long time and that blocked all your political posts which I had grown tired of seeing but this allowed me to continue being friends on Facebook. The reason I unfriended you is quite frankly you haven't been a friend.

The reason I unfriended you is quite frankly you haven't been a friend. The critical words going back and forth between you two aren't worth it. Bickering about what should've or could've happened has nothing to do with today and moving forward. I lost all my best friends when they got married and gained most of them back when they got divorced. Things just get different as you get older. I don't go to class reunions anymore because I decided people grow apart for a good reason. The road splits and each took a different path that didn't include the other. Occasionally, the paths cross again, but you already know what decisions you made the first time. Trying to bring back yesterday never quite works. You have to make the best of today. df1
