Im a huge Red Sox fan. No, dont think I jumped on the bandwagon the last couple of years. I didnt. My dad is from Boston and as a kid we went there and I seen like 3 games at Fenway park in my life and it made me a fan at a young age. Ive had nothing but heartache ever since then.
Bucky Dent and the Great Boston Collapse of 1978
Bill Buckner and the 1 out away from the World Series of 1986
Giambi's Extra Inning Homer of 2003.
But all the pain finally paid off in 2004.
I must say, anytime you stick with a team through thick and thin and heartache for so many years. When it finally happens.
It feels GREAT! ;D
I really feel for Cubs fans.
Who is your favorite team and why?

I'm a Milwaukee Brewers fan. I've seen a lot of bad baseball over my eight years in Milwaukee, so doesn't it figure the year I move away is the year they become contenders...
I'm also somewhat a Phillies fan, and used to be a pretty strong Cleveland Indians fan. The Phillies are because I grew up in the Philly area, but the reason of being an Indians fan is a little weirder. I became an Indians fan after watching the movie "Major League". Something about it really stuck with me, and I decided I wanted to follow the actual Indians team. The cool thing about it was this was the early 90's, so it was around the time the Tribe started acquiring all their young players and became a competitive squad around the mid 90's. It was like investing in a penny stock and watching it's worth multiply.

I'm also a huge Red Sox fan! ...& no bandwagon here either. It may not seem too long ago, but I actually became a fan in '86. I was 10 years old. I went into that World Series rooting for the Mets. I liked Dwight Gooden & D. Strawberry a lot back then. I came out of that series a Red Sox fan. All of the events in that series made me really identify with Sox fans. I still love Buckner. ...& I haven't much cared for the Mets since Gooden & Strawberry started going in & out of rehab. Those dudes wasted so much talent.
I kind of have an obssession for the Red Sox left fielders; Williams, Yaz, Rice, Greenwell, Manny, etc... Mike Greenwell is still my favorite player. One of these days I'll get a jersey of his.
I got out to Fenway for the 1st time in '04. I got to see Bronson Arroyo pitch against the Tigers & I picked up a Varitek St Patty's Day jersey. It was a great time & I was in awe of that place.
In the National League I am a fan of the Reds. They were always my dad's team & they're the closest team to Indy. My name, as well as my dad's, is Pete. So, he was always a big Pete Rose fan. I still remember the '90 World Series. That was magic what they did to the A's. I don't know that I've ever seen a more overmatched team dominate the better team like that. I've been out to their new stadium a couple times & it's a really fun place to watch a ball game.

I too am a member of Red Sox Nation and have been since about 1985. I remember driving through a snow storm to go to a card show with my brother to try and get Ellis Burks and Mike Greenwells autographs. Of course neither one was there because of the snow. I grew up in upstate N.Y. so there weren't to many Sox fans around when I was growing up , mostly Mets and Yankee fans. I've only been to 2 games in my life both at Fenway. I became a Bosox fan because we use to get the games on WSBK T.V. out of Boston on our cable(Thats when cable was cool you actually got channels from other cities not just local affiliated stations) Now I live somewhere where I get all the games on NESN ;D
