According to one news report, Ernie Chan did die in 2012. An Obituary was also mentioned in this report I saw online. Thanks for the info, though!

According to one news report, Ernie Chan did die in 2012. An Obituary was also mentioned in this report I saw online. Thanks for the info, though! It seems to be true. He was reported dead for so long when he was alive, that it wouldn't shock me if he was still alive. www.erniechan.com/ shows ©2014 for the site. Seems strange that the site would stay up without someone posting an obituary or something. df1

I did not realize Ernie Chan had died. I loved his inking on a lot of Conan covers that I have. He made artists look better.
Hey Saga, thanks for making good contributions as a guest. I typically made it a point to posts when creators died. Ive been a bit lax lately due to personal reasons and also my board being slow. It would be a shot in the arm if you joined my board.

Dead Comic Book Creator's Memorial PAGE IS NOW UP ON WIKIPEDIA!! After weeks of research (and because of this site), I've put up the Internets Only Comprehensive list of Comic Book Creator's that have passed away much too soon. This was a true labor of love done with respect for all of these people who have touched and brightened up the lives of all of us who love this genre and was done for us all! I was truly surprised at people I thought were still living are not and I also did people outside of comics that had a profound effect on them! Just go to the wikipedia site and type "Dead Comic Book Creators" in the search space and that should lead you directly to it. If you do look and like it, please respond here...I would deeply appreciate that! Joseph R.
