I'm a big Pacer fan & have been my whole life! Not much to root for these days. Questionable drafts, questionable trades, & questionable character from a few of the players makes it hard being a fan today.
I'm hoping they get things turned around. I like O'Brien as the new coach. Carlisle seemed too inflexible to use the players to their ability. He seemed to always want to run a specific system that the players weren't capable of playing in. Watching Pacer's games the last few seasons were almost like watching a square peg being forced into a round hole. O'Brien likes a more uptempo style, which I like. He also has had some success in his stops in Philly & Boston without much talent. I'm hopeful...
I'd like to see the Pacers trade JO & dump Tinsley. Maybe try to get younger & more althletic. They really just need to start over IMO. I'm hoping the trades with Randolph & Garnett can pave the way for JO to get traded to the Lakers. I'd like to get Crittendon (sp?) & Bynum. The Pacers could really use a good young center (who wouldn't?) & they definitely need to upgrade at the point.
So, who else is a fan of the NBA?

When it comes to basketball. Im old school.
My team is the Boston Celtics.
I miss the glory days of the 80s when the Celtics battled the Lakers. Those were the best basketball games I ever remembered. With drama and shooting the lights out basketball. Not a bunch of slam dunking. Just great shooting.
I also miss Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley and some other greats from the late 80s and throughout the 90s.
I was a big basketball fan until probably the late 90s. Since then, my desire to watch has slowed. It seemed more like thugball than b-ball. But, I hear some say the game is picking up again and getting back to quality stuff. I hope so.
Last year my Celtics were an embarrassment. But the picked up Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. Im hoping for a playoff run this year. Even an 8th seed would be a huge accomplishment compared to last year. So, I will watch and hope they are still in it come next Spring.

I'm a Suns fan. I moved to Phoenix as an eight year-old the year the Suns came into existence.
