Today I just sent a guy a large deposit on a possible monster collection. A buddy of mine turned me onto this guy.He has the complete Marvel Comics collection from Fantastic Four #1 up to date.25,000 books. Unfortunately he is located a couple thousand miles away and I can't see the whole collection before I make the decision. So we worked it out where I sent him some money and he is sending me 10 of the best books in the collection. #1 issues of FF,Amazing Spider-Man & Amazing Fantasy 15,Journey Into Mystery 83,Hulk 1,Avengers 1,Taes of Suspense 39,Tales To Astonish 27 etc. I think I should have them Friday to evaluate the conditions. Unfortunately they were described as being Good-Very Good...so hopefully they are atleast a grade better than described! Fingers crossed!

Please post some scans when you get them. Also, I have a doctors appointment like 2 blocks from you on Friday morning. I was going to stop by the shop. Was wondering if you could help me package this book dude if I havent gotten it done already. The problem is the poster. Its rather large when the rest is like comic books size. If it was just a comic, Id be in good shape. But the poster is making me nervous on packaging the whole thing. And Ive been stuck at work late all this week. Im writing this from work now. Its my usual end of the month, work myself to death deal. Anyway, if you're around, I was thinking of stopping by. Hopefully your books will have arrived and I can check them out!!!

I stopped by Joey's shop yesterday since I had a doctor's appt about 2 blocks from where he is, it was good timing being a Friday with kids in school (cause Saturdays are a madhouse in there). Talked about all kinds of subject and had a good time. Thanks for the help in shipping that package Joey, I knew you had done tons of shipments and knew the best way to package it.
I only picked up 1 book, but I really like it. The 1st Dr. Strange in his own series #169. Which I never knew, but is really an AWESOME book! It has his origin in it, which I must admit, I never knew. I never knew that Dr. Strange was a dickhead surgeon who lost the use of his hands in a car accident! Good stuff, the art was a lot better than I expect. There is only 13 issues from the original series (#169 - 181). I wouldnt mind getting those if the other 12 live up to this 1st one.
Anyway, it was good to stop by a comic store again! Its been a little longer than I wanted it to be. Next month is Charlotte! Cant wait!

I was at the flea market Saturday morning and was diggin through a guys $1 boxes and pulled some pretty good stuff but the bonus was this....A stack of high # Vampirella magazines including this one... I have never seen one of these before.Unfortunately it's only a Very Good, but that's ok with me! This was the 1st Vampirella by Harris Comics and I heard that all the leftover copies from the initial orders were destroyed. The Overstreet lists it as "very low print run". It's goin on Ebay tonight. We'll see where she ends up!

That is sweet as Hell Joey!!! Ive always wanted to get into stuff like this, but I never really did because regular comics dominated. But some of this stuff is really cool stuff to find. How many issues did Vampi go up to? Let us know how it goes on ebay!

Harris got the Vampirella license and this magazine was their first try at it,in 1988. It must not have got very many orders. The book is all reprints though and that may have been one of the reasons.

Sigh! I miss the days when I could by Vampirella (Harris) #1's & 2's for cover price at a hole in the wall store one day and sell them for $20 at shows the next weekend. cfs
