In depth character discussion

I have decided I want to try something new that I hope will continue to evolve over an extremely long period of time. I figure there is no end to how big this area can grow. Regardless if there is no participation or not, it offers me an avenue to continue creating and gives me something else to work on on my board.

I honestly try and think often of ways to expand my board and make it better place. cfs was right that I needed to make my board more focused and I think I have narrowed the focus down to mainly comics with a couple of small side shows. All in all, the board is a comic's message board.

I thought I would start a category area on Comic Characters. Hopefully some of these will end up being full length discussions that may actually eventually uncover info and facts that may not be easily found elsewhere. (ideally).

I must admit to not being any kind of historian and I do not have a lot of factual information. I am mainly just a comics fan. When a new character thread is created, whatever is fact can be put out there as fact. But Id also love opinions. I want to discuss pros and cons of a character. And I would even like to point out key moments in their history.

As massive as my mind is thinking, I dont feel I can do this alone. I am not ashamed to admitting that I need everyone's help or anyone's help. This category area can be about any comic character you can think of. Certainly the most popular and time honored characters will be discussed, but perhaps the beauty may unfold when the far lesser characters come into play.

I would like everyone to feel free to add their own character and their own viewpoints and facts. No matter how big or small the character. No matter if its hero, villain or comedic in origin. If someone else hasn't started it, feel free to add yours if you desire. Once that is established, I would like everyone to feel free to offer their own viewpoint on the character in that particular thread as well as others. If you have nothing to add, don't. But if you do...please...it only makes this a better place if you add it.

I feel the more participation this area has, the better this category and overall this message board will be. If I am not known as anything else but a comic's fan, I want to be a comic's fan looking to collect info on everything about comics that I possibly could. Often times the books themselves get discussed, but I dont see often the characters themselves.

Sure the idea is very large and this area may falter and not even gain a blip on the radar. But, i think it has the potential to be a very huge area. If I have to go it alone and dig up what I can and continue to create the thread areas totally on my own and by myself....I absolutely will. There may be long periods of time between entries, but rest assured, I will continue to work on it. It may take me a long time to get this board to be a worthy collection of info, but I'm sure going to try to make it something more than what it currently is.

This message board will be a lot better quicker if you become involved with it. I often would like to feel like my board is a place you can post the topics you want. So please...if you got an idea for a thread...please...dont hesitate. It doesnt even have to relate to this thread area or comics in general. A contribution in any form is just that.

For now, for the time being, i will commence on getting it started and hopefully years from now, I'll look back on this area with pride thanks to everybody's input into it as well as other areas of my board. For as I like to say....If no one else is posting here....Im just talking to myself.
