I thought the con was good for collectors. I didn't fine too much to resell later on. The highlight find for me was a copy of San Diego Con #2 for $1 It features the 1st app of Hellboy. I also found a copy of Magnus #12 in VF for $2. Other than that it was all stuff to fill in some runs of titles I have been working on.
I ended up getting 8 sketches from Erik Larson. 6 of which are all on one page. They are all head shots of Savage Dragon characters. I also got a Batman head sketch from David Finch.
Overall from a fans point of view I thought the show was pretty good. If you were looking to buy stuff to resell and make good money on it wouldn't have been worth it. A lot of these guys seemed to know what they had.

Very cool stuff Az! For a second there that Batman almost looked like a Jim Lee sketch. Very cool sketches! I wish I could have went. But, Im pretty much on the broke side these days and with Xmas coming....its not looking much better. Im itching to do some comic shopping. When you go too long, it gets to you.

When you go too long, it gets to you. I hear ya, brother! I'm in the same boat. I haven't bought new comics for a while and haven't went to a show since May. I'm starting to go through comic withdrawal! Things are starting to look up, though. Stick with it!

The only person i know that went to Dragon con said it was packed. they said the Fire Marshal had to close off the hotel lobby every night due to the crowd exceeding legal occupancy levels. I've seen them close off the lower levels before, but i don't ever remember it being so bad they had to close the lobby itself.
Supposedly one guy was trampled or something and technically died until coming back to life in the ambulance. Rumor was that there were Pastel Storm Troopers this year. Ugggh!
Haven't heard anyone else say anything about it. The owner of Dragon Con is trying to spin off a comic convention. It started as a Comic convention and eventually it became so much more as a multimedia show. The comics were really getting neglected. I guess that comic fans should appreciate the comics splitting off, but the first one supposedly didn't do too well.
