Yeah...you heard me right. 2003. That game is still so awesome. Just ran a 56 lapper at Daytona and finished 12th. Amazingly enough it was a caution free 56 laps. Was in the lead and decided to pit and wasted a little too much time trying not to speed in the pits....yes lost the draft. The winner of that one was Johnny(who) Benson followed by Waltrip, martin,Gordon, labonte,Burton,Craven,Harvick,Stewart and K Busch. AWESOME

That is the most awesome Nascar video game ever existed before and believe it or not...since. What Nascar 2003 has over all the other Nascar video games is a totally realistic experience. The car has realistic driving characteristics. It has realistic wear. The longer you drive the tighter or looser your car gets. Playing online against others is just like you are racing for real. If you play Nascar 2003 and then play the others like EA Sports. They are nice and graphically look good and stuff, but the realism just isnt there. It ends up feeling more like an arcade game and not a driving simulator like Nascar 2003 is. And on a final note. When REAL Nascar drivers play a Nascar video game, they STILL play Nascar 2003 over anything else. In fact, last year Denny Hamlin was a rookie and had never been to Pocono raceway. What did he do? He practiced on Nascar 2003 on the Pocono race tracks to get used to how the tracks were. How did he do since it was his 1st time there? He won. In fact, they came back again about 2 months later and he won it again. What did he credit for getting him up to speed? Nascar 2003. I dont know about you smug, but Im ready to get back online and do some racing like we used to.

Yeah, im gonna try and download all the setups again and start tweaking and getting some of the rust out. They probably only have about a month or two of online racing left. Maybe we can shake off the dust and start fresh early next year. I was ready to go yesterday.
