Either we are going to have the 1st Black President or the 1st Female VP.
Not trying to push political war here, just saying...it's going to be interesting.

As much publicity Obama gets I really believe he will win. If either one will make a difference I don't know.

Well, its done and over. Thank god. Lets just get on with it. Obama is the winner. I hope it turns out like everyone seems to think it will. I agree change was needed, but Im not so sure Obama is the answer. Maybe he is. I dont know. I hope it works out.
I personally am glad the election is over. No more commercials and news shows on it. I'll further be glad once he takes office and its no longer a big deal to anybody that he is in there. Its just average ordinary stuff. Another day goes by and the president just does his job and we dont hardly take note most of the time. That is what I am most looking forward to. Im sure when he takes office, it will still be big headlines almost everyday and in the beginning for awhile. But it has to eventually die down and the world gets used to the idea that we have a black man as president and its not such a big deal anymore. That is what I am most looking forward to. It happened, now we can move on.

I was watching McCain give his concession speech last night and I particularly was watching after it ended. There you had these thousands of people in the crowds who were fervent followers of his campaign. And then when the speech was over, they all kind of looked around for a few moments and then started wondering off. And then I sit here and wonder about McCain and Palin and their families. Here they have been non-stop on the go with something always to do for what had to feel like so long with so many people waiting to see them and so many people to talk to and try to get those votes. How did they wake up today? Knowing a day or so ago they were big time people who were a step away from the White House and they wake up today and nobody really needs to see or hear from them anymore. They are left to ponder what now? It was just like that moment when the concession speech ended. It was funny, all the people in the crowd looked at each other. After believing and wanting so long....and now it was over with no prize or anything to take away from it.
Just like that....
