I was gonna wait til New Years,but it looks like my "lose weight resolution" started today! Turns out I'm 50 pounds overweight (272),I'm 6'3" and should be 215-225.And I have slightly high blood pressure (140/100)...I'm hoping it's just the weight that has it up there,and it'll go down as soon as I start dropping lbs.! I admit I let myself go this past summer.I probably put on 15-20 since May/June. I do exercise by riding my bicycle everyday 15-20 miles in the morning.I thought since I was doing that,I was good to go,but no such luck. I am eating too much junk,and drinking too much alcohol that the bike riding isn't preventing it all! So I'm taking the name of this website to heart........Gotta Start Somewhere!!

Damn Joey, I must not have seen you in awhile, because I always thought you had lost a lot of weight. When you're 6'3"....those big numbers don't look all that bad to me. Ive tried the whole year to lose weight. I lost as much as 15 lbs this year, but I keep hitting a wall right around 235 and cannot get lower and then I fluctuate back up. Im currently clocking around 244 at 5'8". Thats HUGE for a small guy. I have an awesome gym set (like a bowflex) and a treadmill. Plenty to work out and get back into shape. Ive been thinking if I ever get out of my job and in a new one I feel good about, I'll try and get in shape. I guess I just keep making excuses. I know I have worked out previously for nearly a whole year and never looked and felt better. But that is getting to be a way long time ago now (2003). This year is going to one way or another be a big change in my life. Im hoping I decide to get real serious about myself as well.
