A lot of what is in #80 was stuff that Drew was working on up to his death. It took some time to get his family to release that work to Sirius. Also Sirius is waiting on Drew's mother and daughter to give them consent to produce future PE stories. I thought the book was well done, but I wasn't a fan of the genre. I have some of the comic (not the magazine). I know I intended to sell #1, but I got lazy and it quit being a hot book to own. cfs

Hard book to sell to some one. It's such an acquired taste.

Though most how have read it will put it up there with Bone and Cerebus. (sp??) I think some collectors would buy it simply to find out why it keeps coming up for discussion on messageboards. About 6 months after it came out was the best time to get top dollar. I haven't aggressively sold anything in years. I make too much money at my regular job. Selling comics is a pay cut if I have to waste time with mail order or comic shows. cfs

There is no money to be made selling PE comics by Sirius.
I,Lusphur by Mulehide on the other hand...
Decent grade in the magazine size are consistently selling since Drew's death at over $50 a issue.
Not bad considering that two years ago you could have the hole Mulehide run for $100.

Allred was hot with Madman for awhile and you could sell his early stuff for a premium. Now they are forgotten quirky little novelties that nobody cares about. cfs

I hate to say it, but I hope you're right. I would love to see the prices go down on the magazine size editions of I,Lusiphur.
That way I can upgrade my collection.

Where the I, Lusiphur Magazines better or just more of the same and unique? I always wanted them (just like Cry for Dawn) but hardly ever seen them and when I did, usually at a price I didnt feel like paying.

I always wanted them (just like Cry for Dawn) but hardly ever seen them and when I did, usually at a price I didnt feel like paying. I think when Sirius picked up the title, it put the lower print run magazines into the spotlight. Everyone thought it was well done and hoped it would be the next Cerebus or Strangers in Paradise as far as success goes. Ultimately it only held a small but loyal following that was not much greater than the magazine print runs. The temporary spike increased prices and they've never dropped. I think that the death of the creator/artist will be detrimental to it's investment value rather than a help. Just my opinion though. cfs

Okay, I think I have mentioned before elsewhere sometime ago. I think I asked....Does Sirius still exist and the only thing anybody ever hit me with is....Poison Elves.
Well...is there anything besides Poison Elves that exists with a Sirius logo still being published today?
