Okay, I know story wise, they just didnt cut it. But, I have a fond memory or 2 of Chaos Comics and I actually own quite a few of them. If anyone has one or knows where one is, I wouldnt mind linking to a checklist for easy reference. I would like to see how far off I am. I also think the company is so far off the radar these days that getting them for cheap prices is probably pretty easy. You never know if something like this will one day get hot again and if so, now would be a good time to buy.
I know his art was cliche, but I also loved Stephen Hughes Covers. After awhile they did become the same, but he could make them look pretty cool. Its a shame he passed away. You think back and wonder what he might have been doing now and wonder if his art would have matured into something more mainstream.
Again, I am not here to say these books were great. I'll be the 1st to admit the writing was nothing I cared for. I cannot ever remember reading a whole issue. But, I can say that for a few companies or titles. I thought what worked best for Chaos was covers and a certain style. And, for visual purposes only, I dont mind having them.

One of my friends really liked Evil Ernie. I never cared for any of it. I think I have their Detonator book and maybe something else.

All I remember is some pale white chick with big bewbs dressed in skimpy leather outfits. But I think it was a serious comic.

Remember....it was strictly a visual experience and not a reading experience. Besides Lady Death, I also loved Evil Ernie covers, some were really cool even outside comic circles.
One thing I really hated about Chaos more than anything else is the fact they never had ongoing monthly series. Instead, they always did a single themed mini series. In the end, I think it helped do them in. The titles needed some continuation. Not a jigsaw of scattered sub-par stories.

I never really even liked the art, so they sort of bombed on story and art for me. The limited series killed them as far as the regular issues having back issue collectibility. There are so many limited books that nobody knows what is out there or who else cares. I don't care enough to make a checklist, so who else is doing that? Collectors that like it lose out. cfs

I do believe that Lady Death did have an ongoing before they closed up.
