Any chance you could put the LandMark logo as my avatar? Hows that? Set the width narrower. It's out of proportion. cfs

I'm planning to add a page to the site in the next day or so which I will use to describe my vision for what I believe LandMark Comics can become. This should explain a lot to those wondering what we're about and where we hope to go.

Chris just turned in a script for a story that I absolutely loved. It will introduce the town of Landmark and feature cameos by several LandMark superheroes. That's all I'll spill for now. Me am happy.

Who? Got any examples of his work? I don't want to say yet until it pans out. I should know more shortly. It'll be his first comic book work. He's good enough to give a shot to. I'm not sure how fast he'll be, but it's only a four page story. I'll keep you updated.

Mark (Starbrand) sent me 2 Landmark comics, 1 was an ashcan and the other is today's Comic Background of the Day. (It's a real comic). And I must say, I was quite impressed with what he has done. I know me and my friends would draw comics when we were young (a very long time ago) on regular sheets of paper. Like printing paper. Folded in half. It was very crude stuff. After working sometimes months on them, when finished we would be really proud of it. And these were just regular pieces of paper. What Starbrand has here with Landmark is far beyond anything we ever did. This is a real comic. With real comic paper quality. Quality lettering, coloring and graphical layout. The art was way better than I expected. Yeah, some of it looked a little amateurish. But most of it was a lot better than I ever expected and showed some real artistic talents. Got to say Mark, pretty damn cool. I really think you should reconsider Surprising and stick with Landmark. Just my 2 cents.

And just because it can only be the Comic Background of the Day for today, I'm posting the cover shot of the actual comic he sent me over here for archiving purposes.

I must admit Creative Chris Tinkler think it's not a bad idea to stick with LandMark as well. I may do that, especially since seeing this cover as the comic background of the day. This comic has a bit of a unique name. The name is Suddenly LandMark! (Exclamation point included in the name). When I read books as a kid I noticed any time a sentence began with the word suddenly something exciting was about to happen. It was also difficult to start a sentence with the word suddenly without ending it with an exclamation point. Hence the name Suddenly LandMark!
