I'm not sure whether to put this under the cards category or the toys category because it appears to incorporate a little of both. But it appears to be in the realm of Yu-gi-oh type games, so I am going to classify it as a card game.
Our son started telling us a few weeks ago that he wanted some of this stuff. The funny thing is, he kept telling us often that he wanted us to go to the stores so he could show it to us. We finally found out that he was looking for Bakugan stuff. It must be big in his school because all of a sudden he just started asking for it.
Well, online my wife starts searching and even going to some major stores like Wal-Mart and Target and its not there. Yesterday I sent an email to Comic-Kings and he indicated he was selling it for somebody else, but his prices were jacked up and it was hot.
Later that night, my wife finds on a Target site that they claim they have the stuff in-stock. So, since she was off for today's holiday, we made our way into town and to the Target and to the toys section. We get to the action figure/card type game area and it was pretty amazing. Imagine if you will an isle of toys and games hanging everywhere and full stocked. And then your eye goes all the way to this one end where the Bakugan is to be. It was a huge empty square with no figures or cards on there. I mean it was picked clean! The only thing they had was some lame accessories that act like a table for it and a card holder. But cards and figures and stuff......I never seen an emptier rack in my life.
Needless to say, kids dictate what you do, so we made our way to Comic Kings and he did indeed have them in stock. No Joey though (bummer). 0 for 2 on my last 2 visits there. My wife bought a starter set and a booster for $30 which IS more than what Target wanted, but if they aint got it, who cares? We feel it was money well spent.
Anyway, I just wanted to say, I went from not knowing what this stuff was to fully realizing this stuff is hot in just a matter of days. I'm a believer. Thanks for having it Joey!
