Well, I'm off to Dover, DE to celebrate our anniversary. Gonna hit the casinos and try our luck and hope for the best. I'll be back sometime Sunday night. Wish me luck! ;D Good luck... df1

Well, I didn't win any money. Lost a little actually. The 1st day we lost a little bit and said "let's go" and got out before it got bad. You know when you go in there, probably only about 3% of the people in there walk out with any money to the good. I kept watching people win big and just keep playing and watching their once big number go down to zero. It was sad. People need to learn to hit cash out when they are up big. What gets people more than anything is not having discipline. On the 2nd day, we went back to take some pictures and I told my wife how about we play $20 each? She said no. I said okay $10 each. And she agreed. We played for the next 3 hrs off of $10 each. We were stingy as hell with it. At one point we had turned $10 into about $25 and I was telling my wife to give me $5 to put back into my wallet so we were playing more and more on house money. Alas, our luck ran out and the tickets we had finally ran to zero. We played for 3 hrs and lost a total of $9 on day #2. If we had been the same way and same approach on the 1st day, we probably would have fared okay. In all, in 2 days, we lost about $120. (Like $60 each). We only played $20 at a time each and went to that well 3 times each. After awhile, you just realize its not likely you'll get it back and good sense better take over. Its real easy to get carried away in there. All in all, we had a GREAT time. It was my 4th wedding anniversary and we got away and enjoyed ourselves. Losing $120 was as much as we would have spent entertaining ourselves somewhere else. Last year we went to a race and spent about $500. With motel and food and gas we spent about $275 this year total. You only have an anniversary once a year and it was good for us to enjoy ourselves for once. I'm glad we went. At least we weren't losing hundreds at a time as we watched one person after another do over and over. To be honest, I didn't see ANYBODY cash out once when they had money on the machine. They ALWAYS whittled it down to nothing or next to nothing. We went with a "no more than this" attitude and thats how we left. We actually left before reaching that point or even getting close to it. $300 was the point. So, I don't feel bad. We had an absolute GREAT time!

Today marks a milestone day for me. However, yesterday marked an event all its own as well.
Not that it will be much different around here but you'll probably be seeing a little bit less of me on here for the foreseeable future. I'll be around, but it will be a bit more periodically instead of consistently.
The site however remains available for any and all who want to use it and share their perspectives and findings, and most certainly will continue on.

Actually, things are actually ***slightly*** more optimistic than they were before. Just a LONG ways before they'll be good again. But slightly more optimistic. It's been a long soul-searching journey.

Just wanted to say I've been a bit busy. I just finished up my semester of school. I ended up getting 2 A's and a B. Which is a major comeback, because about 1/4th of the way into this semester I thought I was looking at a B a D and a E. I was really struggling when this semester began. But I tightened up and really worked hard at getting back into the game and I turned things around. So I feel good about that. Amazingly that with 2 A's and a B, I dropped my GPA from 3.818 to 3.797, which really hurts because to graduate with "Highest Honors" you need 3.8 and above. So amazingly that 1 B dropped me just barely below that. But its still close enough to continue fighting for it. I'm all signed up for 3 more classes for my next semester which will have me half way to my degree. I've got a few full days of work left to do going from now until Tuesday and then I have 2 weeks off of work. I've also got a good lead on a job that is still part time, still allows me to go to college, but gets my foot in a door, has clout and pays over double what I'm making now. So, I'm doing a bit of hoping these days. 2009 was a LONG year for me personally. And I'm hoping I'm leaving it in better shape than what I entered it. Anyway, I've been neglecting the board as I tidy up loose ends in my life. I'll try and get back to business on here soon.

Well, I'm finally done with both work and school for 3 weeks and now I get to find some time for other things that interest me that I haven't been able to look into because I was too busy. It feels good to take a rest actually. Sometimes I feel like my brain is sore. I've already got my books for next semester and I've already started reading them to get a head start. There are some things I started before this semester and put down, that I want to pick back up again. I also have some leads to work on and some straightening up and filing away of my books and papers. I need to get more organized. It'll be hard for me to get done everything I want to get done in the next 3 weeks. But I'm ready to give it a good shot. I'll be watching the board a bit more too! All in all, its good to have some free time after having way too much of it for way too long. Its good to be able to appreciate it again.
