Is it my imagination, or did Steve Kerr rob the Bobcats when he acquired Jason Richardson for two malcontents?

I'm looking forward to the NBA this season. The Suns media day was yesterday. Their first regular season game is October 28th.

This seasons seems a bit intriguing. My Celtics hobbled through the playoffs and nearly brought down the Magic and held a 3-2 game lead and blew the last two to lose 4-3. So I'm interested in seeing if they can put it back together.
I'm caring less and less about Lebron James, but I do like Shaq and I'm curious how that will work out. The Lakers should be strong again and as usual a contender.
I'm curious to see if Allen Iverson will make the Grizzlies better or if he should retire.
Should be a good season, but it'll be March or so before it really gets interesting.

I'm not sure Shaq will help Cleveland. He doesn't have much energy out on the court. I watched him all last year. He doesn't have much energy out on the court, especially on defense. If he has more energy this year than last I'll be upset about it. I was at the game the night he sat in a box in Phoenix and pointed at his ring finger. Looking back, maybe we interpreted that wrong. Maybe he needed to wash his hands.

Shaq doesn't need to do much with Lebron out there. All he needs to do is be under the basket and an option. He's more a decoy to free up Lebron than anything else. If the Suns had someone like Lebron on their team, the Suns would have been better with Shaq. The Suns just didn't seem to have as good a supporting cast. Maybe that is why Shaq look lethargic. Its because he didn't have a Lakers quality team around him and he knew it.
I'm sick of Lebrons antics though. In the end I want to see Cleveland lose again. They act like everyone should just hand them the crown and all hail Lebron.
I like a little more humility on a team. Not ones acting like they are posing for cameras.

I will say this: when Shaq was on defense he would rarely even move much. If a player got close to the basket Shaq wouldn't move to defend him very often if he had to take more than a couple steps. If that's what he brings to Cleveland, which is the quality of defense he brought to the Suns, he'll be a huge liability to them on defense.

I think being this close to another championship, lets face it, Cleveland is a top 4 contender if not better for the title, I think that will add some pep into Shaq. The end is drawing near for him, he ain't getting many more chances. I think he'll give Cleveland 1 good year (this one) and that's it. Everyone thinks Lebron will be gone after this year too. So this is it for Cleveland, do or die this year. I'm hoping for die.

The Suns are out to a 13-3 start on the year. I follow them closely each year and I really like this team. If Robin Lopez keeps playing big at center I think they have an outside chance at the title this year. Lopez could develop into a lot more than most people think, just like this year's Suns team.

It's funny how Phoenix has been dominant without Shaq and Cleveland has been struggling with him. I know I was shocked the other day when I noticed Phoenix had one of the best records. It'll be interesting to see if they can challenge the Lakers. Good to see you starbrand! Come and talk about comics too once in awhile!
