One thing that really irks the ever loving shit out of me is to have an ebay transaction and everything goes down smoothly and you do everything you are supposed to do and then you get weeks down the road and the buyer never did give you a feedback!
Not only do they have the upper hand as a buyer because there is no way you can negative them, but to make matters worse, they dont give you a positive when you know it was positive. How do you know it was positive? If it isnt, Im sure they will be asking for some of their money back or sending you emails or even worse, they would not hesitate to leave a neutral or a negative for you!!! It's BS. What makes me feel even worse is I actually leave them a positive for their quick payment. Isn't that ALL they had to do? And Im finding since Ive been back to selling, buyers are now slower to pay! I mean, I cant bug them to pay, they'll probably negative me when I send my item after I FINALLY get my payment!
Feedback is your reputation. Then I got this gem of an email about a week ago, here it is...
Hi, I am interested in many of your Valiant Comics. I cant see the spines in your pictures so im somewhat hesitant to purchase, can you offer me any reassurance and maybe some sort of package deal? Thanks.
Reassurance?!!!? Check my feedback asshole!
Oh and since you are hesitant now I need to entice you with a package deal? How about my nuts on your chin with purchase!
I took the starbrand method here and blocked this dude from bidding. I could see him buying and going "there was a stress mark by the staple you didnt mention, you need to refund me!" I didnt want the hassle.
Ive gotten this bad about feedback. When someone buys my stuff, I wait and see if they pay quickly. If they do, I am apt to give them a quick feedback. But before I do that, I check one last thing. I check their feedback left for others! You'll sometimes be amazed that you see a lot of people receiving a lot of feedback but when you check their feedback left for others, they hardly leave any for anybody.
Since ebay has the system so geared towards buyers, I only leave a feedback to someone who sent money quickly and who shows they leave feedback for others. Or they leave me a feedback.
I think ebay really needs to rethink this not able to leave negatives to buyers. If they are going to leave it this way, maybe they should force buyers to leave feedbacks within 30 days of a transaction or cut off their buying privileges or complete a questionnaire on why they havent left a feedback yet. The buyers arent paying the ebay fees. The sellers are. And it seems to me that ebay is leaving it's sellers out in the cold.
All a buyer has to do is pay! That's it. So I leave a feedback...Thanks for paying like a good United States Citizen you non-thief you!!!
Heaven forbid if I didnt do 1 itty bitty thing right! And I have all the work to do and I have to pay the fees.
I understand ebay did this to stop retaliation negatives, but they didnt need to give buyers the complete upper hand. The sellers have no recourse.
