Yeah, I've looked at his site a few times. I have it linked up above. He is the link listed as "Virtual Comic Art". Through there I have been able to make my way to his ebay auctions and actually discover who he is on ebay.
I still think he was about the most memorable moment we had at the Charlotte con last year. It's quite amazing to me that we were in the presence of all that original art. I think I even remember seeing this piece he has on sale in this link you provided sitting on his dining room table along with about 500 other similar cherry pieces on the same table. Which these were his very minor pieces. I mean, we could have all gotten together and beat his ass and took all his art. I never seen anything like it in my whole life!
The other thing is the guy seemed oblivious to work. I mean he just buys and sells art for massive profit. Lives in a nice home, nice car, good stuff in life and seemed hardly stressed with any concerns over money at all. Other than "I talked to this guy the other day about such and such a piece and he's going to buy it and Im going to ship it to him, we've been negotiating the price for about a month." blah, blah, blah. That was the extent of his workday! Its moments like that that I take a hard look at my life and wonder just how in the hell I screwed up so badly! Truly a humbling experience. I would have been happier than a dog with 6 dicks over just about any one piece of his art and this guy literally had hundreds laying all around his house on dining room tables!
