I don't think bicycles belong on a road with cars anyway. I think it's flat out idiotic and it pisses me off. If I was writing the laws, bicycles would have to get off the road and onto a sidewalk. When I have to travel from where I live to school, its a 50 mile drive for me one way. Along the way I have to go through a stretch of 1 lane each way country roads that twist and turn throughout woods with blind spots. I often come up on these bikers as I am going around a turn at 45-60 mph and they just happen to have a pack and they are not over to the side, they are literally in front of me. Sometimes if I came around the corner a second sooner, I know I would flat run 5 of them over because I wouldnt have seen them in time because the turn blind spots what is coming in the distance. Very often when I come up on them, I get a refusal for them to move to the side. Very often when you go to pass you get looks from them that you are being an ass for driving your car on the road. I've had a few of them give me the finger.
Its always the same too. I always run up on a group in their gay Lance Armstrong outfits. Always with logos and helmets and glasses and thinking they are going to be in the Olympics or something.
The problem is their bikes are considered vehicles. So they take this to mean they have every right if not more right to the road as you do. Im sure if you subscribe to say "Bicycling" magazine, Im sure it is chock full of articles telling them how much of a right they have to the road. Im sure if anyone gets hit, they'll sue and it will be your fault.
This is why I like this pic so much. I laugh at it everytime I see it. Because sometimes I think if their little gay cycle parade got hit like this, they might think of getting out of the way and being on the side at the very least instead of all out on the road claiming their rightful space to what they believe is theirs.

I get sick of all the ads that bicycles have the same right to the road. Why? Put a damn motor on it. We have to get places. I'm not playing when I'm in the car. I have some other place I want to be.
