At work, we were going through training, I'm just about done. This is the last week. Along the way, there was this guy in class who the instructor liked to pick on. He kept saying he was awesome. And eventually he gave him the moniker "Captain Awesome". He knew I was doodling in class and said I ought to make a comic strip of Capt Awesome. I drew this quick sketch of 2 pages in about an hour. I know it sucks, but I still enjoyed the process and the quick sketchy results don't bother me. I know it's not me trying to draw serious. It's me trying to draw real quick. Anyway, Captain Awesome looks just like this guy, except minus the muscles of course, but his face is dead on. Anyway, I thought I would share the silly quick sketches here.

Yeah, I messed up from about the hips down. I know it and I ain't going to deny it. That's supposed to be a printer he is above. When my instructor seen it he said "I don't think we can use that, it looks like he is shitting out a printer". I cant deny it, he's right. So are you guys. I drew it REAL FAST in pen, so I couldn't erase it. It was just something I doodled in class real quick and then when I finished it, I said the hell with it and left it in my notebook and never worked on it again. Even still, it was fun for a moment and since I drew it, I thought I would put it up here.

I notice the printer is an H PEE PEE brand printer. It does look like the 1st character is try to print to a toilet.
Speaking of printers... I was stressed out about one last week. I had a printer jam at work and I was trying to find a lever to release the paper. The "green" lever didn't work, so I was looking for any other ones. I accidentally pressed a small paper roller and it popped out of its location and fell into papers path inside the machine. It had a spring which applies pressure so the paper comes out properly. I had to take off 6 screws to get a cover plate off. I had to fish the roller out of the back of the machine and then try to get the roller back into place, oriented correctly, and the spring hooked to the proper spot. A printer is something I need all the time at work so I was frantic. 45 minutes later after dropping the spring and roller 100 times and thinking I was going to breaks the plastic posts or clips to hold it... I finally got it into place and working. I had to build a cradle with a paperclip to stop it from falling into the machine. I had to use a string from a parts tag to tie to the spring so I could pull it up into place. Then I had to use wire cutters to cut the string and needle nose pliers to fish the strands of string out from where they were stuck. Brain surgery would be a breeze after struggling with that.
