When I went with Az last week to the Comic Con in Richmond along the way home we stopped at a store that had recent back issues filling the entire store at $1 per issue. That was a great place and I'll have to go there again whenever I get near it.
Anyway, Az picked out a book he said he was buying for me and it happened to be New Universal #1 by Warren Ellis and Salvador Larroca. This came out by Marvel in 2007.
I just got done reading it and I must say, it was a good read and a fine quality product. It felt like I was watching tv and kept me interested throughout most of it. There was only 1 scene that seemed like too much talking, but the rest was nice moving. I'm sure what I didn't understand was just bringing in plot for the rest of the series.
Another thing, I didn't realize it when I looked at it, but the cover sports a scene right from the story. Hey Az, you gave me a book with a genuine Insight Cover! Sweet!
Needless to say, when I finished it, I wish I had more of the series which is saying something. I could have finished it and have been like...eh, I'm glad that's over with. No, instead it left me wanting more. So I'm going to say 2 thumbs up on this one Az! Thanks for forcing me to read it.
