I went to see Megadeth a week ago. It was an awesome concert. Dave Mustaine is great to see live. This was my 3rd time seeing them.
I found some video on Youtube. Please keep in mind that Youtube has killed the audio on most of these vids. Tornado of Souls sounds halfway decent.

Like you said, the audio quality of these clips suck, but you can tell it was an awesome show. I wish I would have went with you to that show. I can't believe how much of a huge fan I have become of them. When they 1st came out I didn't like them at all and then over the years they have just become one of my favorites from back in the thrash era. I think one huge reason for it is because they've never changed. Even though the fad of this kind of music went out a long time ago, they just don't seem to care and just keep cranking out this kind of music over and over.
I saw them on the Jimmy Kimmel show a few months ago and they played one song I never had heard before to finish out the show and I DVR'd it on my box and every time I turn it on, it just kicks ass. The whole freaking audience is just banging their head and everything and they are just jamming!
Of all the bands still in existence that I have never seen from back in the day....this is probably the one I'd like to see the most today.
I can think of a few who I didn't see who no longer exist. But from those who are still out there and who I have sadly never seen. I think Megadeth would rank about as high as any other band if not the highest.

I love Megadeth. I have seen them 6 times and am ready to go again. Where did you see them? That episode of Kimmel was great. I only watched it for the Megadeth segment.
Another band I want to see again is Iron Maiden. They are in Detroit this week with Dream Theater. Man that would be a great show.

I think it was just before their second album came out. That concert was the first time I ever smoked a cigarette. I ordered Jack Daniels. They served me Jim Beam. The substitution was making me sick. My friend said "Smoke a cigarette, you won't taste the difference." I said "Really?" He handed me one... and I did. He was right. df1

I just went back and watched the videos. That footage seems downright sleepy compared to the show I remember when I saw them. Youtube isn't to blame for the poor audio quality. The problem with the audio is the bass overpowering the microphone on the camera. The microphones on the camera aren't designed to record that frequency range. My camera evidently has a filter and you don't hear all the distortion. It pretty much removes the bass so you can still hear the guitar and vocals just fine.

His sister wasn't. One day the band was in town on their tour, the lead singer shows up where my friend's sister was fencing at Emory University. They go out, hit it off REALLY well and my friend finds out a few days later. I thought that was both funny and tragic. I saw Iron Maiden once. I only liked a couple of their songs... Flight of Icarus and whatever that other hit was. df1

The songs I like from them, I REALLY like from them, like "Run to the Hills" and "2 Minute to Midnight", they always had the ability to kick ass and put out a good song. But I never thought they were a band I wanted to hear for a long time. After awhile, they kind of drone on me. Some bands I think their hits are hits for a reason. I'm sure there is many rarely heard songs that if you listened to it enough would sound great. But it's almost like I had to try too hard with them. The songs I heard the most were the ones ended up liking simply because I heard them the most. But to sit there and listen to an album of it....I just couldn't seem to get into it. They almost seem a bit too "Castle Rock" for me. I'll stick with the hits and let the others remain unknown to me.

Unlike a band like AC/DC where I liked every song they released with Bon Scott. I like everything the Cars released. 90% of everything the Ramones released. I never could get into listening to much of Iron Maiden when there were too many bands & albums I liked better.
