Im not all that familar with the man's body of work and his history and where he went and what he did at such and such a time. But, I will say that I love the man's work. He has a style that seems very realistic to me and well done. There always seems to be a lot in his work and all the details are nicely done. Whether it is his run on Conan, his Weapon X series, Machine Man mini series or his great run on Solar and the biggest panel in comics history which was an awesome shot! I cannot remember ever getting one of his works and feeling let down. I remember a pop art book. I cannot exactly remember what it was. Im thinking it was an anniversary special book of some type. Well, it was one of those books where every couple of pages somebody different was the artist. Eventually you got to Jack Kirby inked by BWS. You know Jack was always the squiggly line and kind of crazy stuff. Well, BWS took it and threw his sort of realism into. It came off as a nice combo. He didnt stop letting Jack be Jack. You could still see the Kirby clearly. But, you could also see the BWS all throughout it as well. I enjoyed it greatly. I personally havent heard much about him lately, Would love to know if he is working on anything or did anything recently that anyone thinks is good. I dont know. Maybe as with all artists, people wont like him. But, Im not going to back down. I will say I love his work. Who else besides JRJR can we so recognize by just saying... BWS

X-men #53 is his first work. Back then to get a job at Marvel, you had to draw like Jack Kirby. That's why BWS's work in the beginning resembled Kirby's work. His style didn't really fine tune until well into his Conan run.
My favorite to this day is his Paradoxman storyline in Dark Horse's Storyteller. I believe it to be his ideas for Timewalker after he left Valiant. Great stuff.
