Anyone get a copy of this? I noticed it sold out. When I was recently looking through Marvel projects, they seemed to have the most junk out of any group currently, but this actually looks promising based on this one picture alone and it's getting great reviews. Any word?

I looked for this yesterday, but it was nowhere to be found. Marvel really looks weak to me at the present, but seeing snippets of this actually has me curious on this one. I wouldn't mind owning a copy just to see if it's worthy of a bit of hype.

this is a really well done comic that basically gives S.H.I.E.L.D. a longer history than we would have guessed. totally original concept that just really sets the stage for some meta-fiction Adventure. Meaning that the book reimagines real people from history as if they were Involved in far greater things than we knew of. Seek this book out and add it to your collection or your reading list. Easily worth your $4

It's currently one of the only Marvels I would pick up at this time, if I could just find it.

You would REALLY like the current run of FF also. Johnathan Hickman (the writer of this title also) and Dale Eaglesham are doing probably the best work that the book has seen in years.

I was by Zeno's today. I asked if he had any Shields and he said no, that book was completely under ordered. He said the preorder demand was not their at all, so he only ordered 8 copies which quickly flew out the door. He said he didn't even get to look at it. Now everyone is coming in and asking for it and he sadly doesn't have any. He said he thinks all the stores under ordered on this one. Apparently the word is out that it was pretty decent and people want it. Sound like a short term hit. Long term....probably not. But I still wouldn't mind seeing one. I haven't even laid eyes on one yet.

I just got done reading The S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 Directors Cut. I suppose it was a reprinting of #1 with added pages for concept sketches and character bios. I must say, I liked this book a lot! It made me wish I had the rest so I could continue reading. The whole 1st issue was just one big hook. The art was fantastic! Nothing overly stylized or house style, just good hard work with plenty of realistic looking detail. If I get a chance to pick up later issues I will. I'd say this issue was indeed impressive considering what else is out there today....
