The writer and artist on such titles as Fire, AKA Goldfish, Jinx, and co-writer on Jinx: Torso. He has went on to be the one to write Sam and Twitch, and Powers for Image before coming one of the top writers (if not THE TOP WRITER) for Marvel with runs on titles such as New Avengers, Alias, The Ultimate Spider-Man, House of M, Siege, Secret War, The Avengers, Daredevil and many more.
I found his early stuff great, but I haven't much of his current super-hero stuff other than House of M (I wasn't terribly impressed by it) and Alias which was pretty damn good. I thought his first few issues of New Avengers vol. 1 were OK (I thought it was long overdue and about damn time Marvel did an "all-star" Avengers team book) but lacked the epic feel that it needed.

I can't say I know enough about the guy to really have an informed opinion on him, but I can say the few times I did read his work, I was like UGH!!! I have to say I've never seen what the big deal is with this guy when I read him. Give me Ed Brubaker any day over this guy.
That being said, I kinda say that with a bit of reservation because I haven't sampled a huge body of his work and maybe I haven't seen the best the guy can do. I'm just saying when I have read his work, I haven't been impressed and find myself thinking that he is one of the most overrated writers I've experienced. If I would have read more of his work, I'd say it with a lot more conviction. As it is, when I see his name on books, unless I some other intriguing reason to buy it, his name alone has made me think....."Don't Buy".

I really recommend Fire, AKA Goldfish, Jinx, and Powers.
