Detective Comics has been running an anthology format for the last year. The main story deals with Batwoman, and the 8 page backup is about the Question. Action comics is also doing this by doing Superman related stories that do not star Superman in them.
I think that there is a path to success with books that feature two characters in it like the old Tales of Suspense books. I would like to see it make a return.

The thing is that DC will ultimately put Superman and Batman back as the stars of Action Comics and Detective Comics. Because they will sell more books than Batwoman, The Question, and others in their families.

It's really hard to imagine those series with anyone else. It would almost seem wrong if you ask me. It's when they appear everywhere else that it gets old.

I agree with both of you on that. I personally am curious to see what J.H. WilliamsIII is going to do with the Detective book now that he is writing AND drawing it. I love that guys work. He will mix 3 different styles of art together to tell different aspect of a story and it works. The guy has serious talent.
