I ordered it off of DCBS a few months back because the price was right and I didn't get one last year. I'm not sure, but I think the price guide was delayed this year. It usually comes out right around late March/Early April. When I didn't get mine when I originally expected I didn't panic and figured it would come with a later order. Later I was looking at a Previews and noticed an advertisement for it saying it was going to ship orders in like July. So that kept me from saying anything and finally it arrived this week.
As usual, I like having one and I love looking at it for lots of reasons. I know you can take the values in a lot of cases with a grain of salt, but still it's nice to have if nothing else for reference. One thing I did notice this year was that across the board values escalated a lot on a lot of books. I'm not talking one here and there, I'm talking a lot of books jumped.
Once again I realize what is in print and what is reality are two totally different things. But I have gotten used to Overstreet either showing a slight movement or no movement or in some cases even going down. They're usually kind of subtle with their price changes. I can't say that to be the case this time.
I'm sure people will say they pay no attention to Overstreet and so on and I get it. But I'm just saying for the sake of conversation. They seem to have decided this issue was a price escalation issue for the most part. And in some cases it was dramatic to see their listings visually showing prices well ahead of where I am used to seeing them.
