What was your biggest comic related moment of 2008? It doesnt necessarily have to be a comic you purchased or sold, but it could be. But it can also be an event or activity you experienced that was directly related to comics such as a convention, or art purchase. It's totally up to you. But what was the one moment you felt was your peak moment with comics in 2008?

Although the show was particularly pitiful, which is such a shame because I looked forward to it so much, I'd have to rate going to the Charlotte Convention with Comic Kings and Azbatx as the biggest comic related moment I had this year.
It's not often where I get to think about nothing but comics for 2 solid days. In fact, I havent spent multiple days at a convention in well over 15 years. But yes, the show sucked. I could hardly find a bargain anywhere. I did find one steal. A FN- Blue Beetle #1 from 1967 by Ditko for $1. But otherwise, I think I spent like $90 on comics at 2 plus days at what is normally a decent show. And all of that was one big dumpster dive with only mediocre stuff I bought as desperation at the end. The show was crowded with the usual funk-puppets funking up the air and blocking your way.
I guess the peak was when we went to a friend of Comic King's house and seen a ton of valuable original art. The original art was mind blowing! We also went to an original art auction but that blew chunks too.
There really wasnt a lot good about the show, but just getting away from the rat race of the world and concentrating on comics was certainly worth the 6 hr drive each way and the disappointment of a poor show.
It's almost like "A bad day at a comic show is better than a good day at work".
I wish I had a more awesome comic moment for 2008, but that's pretty much as good as it got.

I was actually going to say this and the Baltimore show was the best comic moments this year for me. Getting to hang out with friends and look at comics is always a great time. Even if what they have is bad like Charlotte. I actually managed to get one of my friends to go with me to Baltimore who has never been to a show and had no idea what to expect. Good times!
