My girlfriend recorded Dark Knight Rises on my DVR like a week ago as she was surfing through my channel guide. I was a bit shocked when I seen it in my recordings. I asked her is she recorded it and she said yes. Said she was wondering if it was any good. So over the course of 2 nights, we watched it. First clue....two nights. Why two? Well, one the first night I was laying on the couch and noticed several scenes where it seems most people were talking in a monotone whisper. I even at one point said "Does it seems like everyone is whispering?" Even though I had the volume way up on my tv which kicks ass when it comes to sound (and picture btw). She said yeah. There were times I barely knew what people said. Eventually about an hour and some change into it, I started dozing off. We eventually stopped the recording and came back and finished it up last night. Dark Knight Rises was a disappointment. I had heard there was a lot of hype for this movie. I would much rather recommend The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger as the Joker. What a MUCH BETTER movie that was than this turd. Batman seemed weak as shit in this movie. Christian Bale as Batman sucked. He looked like a weakling as Bruce Wayne. And then as Batman, I have to say the uniform was god awful. Instead of looking like skin tight material exposing muscles, it looked like a high tech Halloween Costume with plastic muscles. The plastic look was overwhelming. Even his mask looked cheesy as fuck. To further irritate me, Bruce Wayne talked normal but as Batman, he spoke exactly like Rorsach (sp?) from Watchmen. Irritating as fuck. Then, to top it off. Batman is supposed to be smart but he gets involved in a stock move that wipes him out and late in the movie he basically gets walked up on and stabbed like it was nothing. Batman just appeared weak to me. Bane was a letdown too. I always hated that mask, but I didn't expect him to sound like Sean Connery throughout the film. Who the hell thought of that??? He sounded educated and upper crust. What?? At one point I told my girlfriend that Bane sounds like the good guy and Batman sounds like the Bad Guy. Catman was unlikeable. I didn't find Anne Hathaway attractive in this. But I've never thought much of her in the first place. Alfred was sappy. And the rest of the characters just seemed wrong. About the only good thing I can say is there was a couple of decent fight sequences and I liked the Bat Motorcycle. That was about it. The rest of the movie blew. And was predictable when it ended. I called the blow up scene 10 minutes before it happened. It was amazing how Batman who seemed to be just about dead when he got stabbed seemed to have recovered in mere minutes afterwards. There was so many moments when I spoke to my girlfriend and said instances where "Why does this" or "That was stupid".... Basically the whole film had wholes a mile wide. I kept wondering why anyone didn't just shoot Bane in the neck or the top of his head? He was always fully exposed in public prancing around where any marksman could of easily got a clear unprotected shot. Naw, instead they showed cops cowering whenever Bane stood unprotected. Ugh! All in all, this movie in my opinion just plain sucked. Considering I thought the Dark Knight was perhaps the best Batman movie, this one followed up as a complete piece of shit. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. This youtube clip summed it up nicely.

I was not planning on seeing the new Superman (and it was a complete mess), but at least they had some superpowers being used. df1

Dark Knight was good. The Dark Knight Rises however, had a great many problems. Most of which come from the Shit direction. I think Christopher Nolan needs to be given a copy of The 5 "C's" of Cinematography, because there were some jumbled cuts in there and terrible action sequences. Banes voice was strange. Bane was not bad overall, but I think that if the direction would have been better, he would have been more effective as a villain. Bane in the comics, is extremely intelligent. This has been repeatedly established. Intelligent people do not talk like street thugs. RE: Bruce, remember, he was supposed to be 10 years out from being Batman, so of course he would have softened up. His injuries affect him more now and that abuse has aged him. The Costume, looks usable. It doesn't have to be skin tight. IT needs to be functional. He could have used a thicker neck though to create the sillouhette that we all are used to. Hathaway was hit or miss as Catwoman. She played the character well, even though she herself is not that attractive. Talia buying his company was a good play that was poorly handled. Overall though there were just so many mistakes. Bruce is in the prison. Which is established as being in India. How did he get back to civilization? How did he get back to Gotham so quickly with no money and no one finding out? How did all the cops trapped underground for two months, not only survive, but come out looking so clean? I am looking forward to what they do with Batman in the next Superman film. I had issues with that one as well, but it was far superior to DKR As for how he got stabbed so easily, he did not realize that the woman was Talia Al Ghul, or that she was a threat, until she had stuck the knife into him and twisted it. Now you can't say I have not visited your site.

One of your weakest comebacks for something you obviously wish was better than it was. Come on, you know this one was crap. The one before this one was WAY better! Now you can't say I have not visited your site. 1st visit of 2013. Typically we'll respond to your posts but it'll be 9 months before you make another visit. By then, all of us, you included, have forgotten your previous posts which could have made for nice conversations should you have continued to post.

Hey, I disliked the movie and pointed out why. However, there were things you mentioned that made no sense and I pointed out why they happened. The movie still sucked. I have made 6 other posts today. I may be back to followup on them.

Something about that is too incongruent with reality.

I have made 6 other posts today. I may be back to followup on them. Although a uniform doesnt need to be skin tight and yes needs to be functional, it doesnt need to be an outfit with built in plastic muscles which look like a Halloween outfit. You cannot defend that uniform. As for Bane being intelligent, I think a lot of Villains would be considered intelligent. What use is there having a movie villain being nothing more than an idiot? Being intelligent doesnt mean Bane needed to sound like a 65 year oldish Sean Connery sound alike. His voice was totally off. Still think at any time of the movie, any sharp shooting cop could have shot him in his unprotected head or neck, especially in public city scenes where anyone could have taken a decent shot at him. Seeing Bruce Wayne lose his fortune in 1 investment hardly seemed like the great mastermind we expect him to be as weve been shown 70 years or so, he just gets careless and throws all his eggs in 1 basket. And im sorry, Batman was easily mortally stabbed like a loser and looks near death and then amazingly recovers without medical aid to look completely healthy for the climatic sequences. This movie sucked donkey dicks.
