Anybody else see this series on Netflix? My girlfriend put it on much to my surprise. It's a series and has 2 complete seasons. I normally frown away from most anything comic related because 90% of them bore me to tears. Apparently it's a Dark Horse comic I never heard of. It took me a second to get into it but about the 4th episode or so I started thinking dang, this is getting pretty good. From that point on i was hooked. Feels like a mix between the X-men and the Watchmen. I just started season 2 and I'm enjoying it. Anybody know about the comic books? Are they commanding any money because of this? I won't say it's for everybody but I personally think it's worth checking out for a more adult like comic book feeling experience.

Finished watching season 2 of Umbrella Academy last night and at the end it said that Season 3 was coming. I have to say that was highly enjoyable for both me and my girlfriend and like I said I generally hate 90% of comic related TV shows and movies but this one was pretty damn good. Yeah, at times a tad bit tedious and cheesy but overall very well played out with lots of twists and sub plots, great effects, comedy and drama. My favorite Character was Five. I think the doomsday approach needs to go away in season 3 but otherwise I enjoyed it and can't wait to see another season.

I'm aware of the comic, but know nothing about it. I have no interest is watching it since it's tied to Dark Horse. When Dark horse did their 2010 reboot of the Gold Key characters, Umbrella Academy was getting newsstand distribution in book stores, but the Shooter penned content was not. That kinda pissed me off.
