Here's a company that I feel is pretty much forgotten about in the big history of comics. I would be the 1st to admit that I never felt like they did anything earth shattering. But I think their library is very huge. And it seems nearly impossible not to have picked up or at least looked at some of it. I often wonder just how many comics this company produced and when did it actually fold? I know at the end a lot of it turned into Whitmans. But where was the actual end of the line. I have a few nice things. The pre-Valiant heroes are always nice to pick up. The painted covers they like to do are pretty sweet. I have a Star Trek #9 I got in a dumpster I like holding onto. Its the last photo cover. I always like Gold Key's logo. I dont know. I just liked it. Dells, were always harder to like, come by and purchase. But I have a few of those too. Mostly funny animal books when it comes to Dells. But once again, the number of comics these guys put out is extraordinary.
I wonder if any of you guys have or search these companies out. And if so, what are you after. Or, are you just plain not interested.

I never realized it, but did Dark Horse basically pick up all the remains of what was once Gold Key? That's a decent library of books if they did.

They are licensing the Classic Media properties which will feature the Dell/Gold Key/Western properties. They jave the ability to use the Defiant and Broadway stuff too. Defiant1
