Wow! That's a lot of Transformers!
Wouldn't mind seeing some of those. I'll bet with a collection that size, you have a few worth mentioning in higher regard that most others.
I don't have digital camera and most of them are four 20-Gallon totes (these totes are about the size of my bath tub and maybe a little deeper). I really don't how many I got because of all the replacements, repaints, redecos, reissues, special editions, and limited editions that have been released over the years.
But the ones that I have most proud of:
A MITB Canadian Sixshot with English and French lettering on the box this is my most unusual piece with an interesting story; I won this on eBay from a seller in Canada in late August 2001 and paid for it but the seller had miscalculated the shipping (and he was cool enough to pay for it out of his own pocket) and was waiting for his pay check then 9/11 happened and the border was closed for a week and once the border was reopened he sent it. Needless to say he got very positive feedback from me.
I have an original MITB Japanese God Ginari at $707 this is the most expensive toy I ever bought I won it on yahoo auctions it was $600 toy plus shipping, handling, and I had to wire the money via Western Union because the seller was in the Philippians. Now the same day I won it Tomy/Takara (the Japanese company that helps make Transformers) announced they were going to reissue it. I later bought a Japanese reissue to play with. Then Hasbro announced that they were going to reissue it as part their Toys R Us-exclusive Commemorative Series of American G1 Reissues renamed as Powermaster Opitmus Prime w/Apex Armor. When I had the money and figured "why the fuck not" and I bought it.
A Japanese MITB Overlord-this is probably my second most expensive toy at $425, but God Ginari needed his nemesis.
Plus he finally made his American debut in IDW's
Transformers: The Last Stand of the Wreckers series.
Japanese MITB TRU Super Convoy (aka Black Powermaster Optimus Prime) The coolest looking Powermaster Optimus Prime/Girari figure I got.
Powermaster Optimus Prime in a box (the tech spec is cut of out the box) I bought this one $88 at Botcon. This one is interesting because the rifles are shorter than all the other ones I got.
Not in a box:
G1 Fortress Maximus at 2 feet tall in Super Robot Mode this is the biggest Transformer toy ever made. I found him at a LCS in 97 and I damn near passed out when I saw him the store had just bought it and hadn't even priced it when I told them I would buy it and I would not leave the store until a price was met. I paid $125 for him which was cheap even back in 1997.
A Japanese Car Robots Brave Maximus-a repaint of Fortress Maximus for the Car Robots line (aka
Robots in Disguise or RiD for short in the USA) with none of the super robot's guns and sword.
Star Saber
Victory Leo
Powermaster Optimus Prime
3 G1 Soundwave (one is the SDCC 09 Reissue still in the box)
2 G1 Jetfire one of them the arms have fallen off and is stuck in jet mode and the other one and a screwed up shoulder and is stuck in robot mode.
2 G1 Galvatron; one is the Japanese "Galvatron 2" reissue still in the box.
20 Combaticons (G1, G2, Car Robots, RID) If I ever see another G1 Combaticon I'm going to scream!
10 G1 Stunticons
6 G1 Predacons (I have 2 Headstrongs {the Rhino})
10 Aerialbots (G1 and G2)
2 G1 Scoropok
2 G1 Metroplex (one is the Japanese Encore Reissue still in the box)
2 G1 Sky Lynx (one is the Japanese Encore Reissue still in the box the other one was bought at the same LCS and at same time I bought the G1 Fortress Maximus)
2 G1 Omega Supreme (one is the Japanese Encore Reissues still in the box)
And just about every US
Beast Wars, Beast Machines, RiD, Armada, and
Energon toy released.
